power rangers movie critic reciews are really low

seem that the reviews by critics are as if they are watching different movies. one says it's a tribute and others say it's not. critics want more action and the audience live the character driven plot. I don't get it.

This reminds me of a review for Kong Skull Island I saw

It said that the movie was pretending that photojournalism was a real thing.....

46% RT is really low?

It just seems to me like critics are polarized and kind of indifferent about it, while fans who grew up with the franchise love it. The mixed response from critics and the fact it's a "gritty" reboot of a children's nostalgia machine proves it's just the first Transformers movie again, except fans might be more on board.
