Team Godzilla or Team Kong

It's happening in 2020. These two guys are going to fight. Who's side are you on?

For me, it depends. I personally prefer Godzilla as a Kaiju, but in a fight I'm going to root for Kong because he's the underdog.

How about you guys?

Well, they've fought before and it ended in a tie. Except in the US they cut Godzilla's roar at the end to make it seem like Godzilla lost. It was also originally going to be Godzilla vs Frankenstein. Unfortunately the original version of King Kong vs Godzilla is not available in the US, only the badly re-edited American version.

I personally like Godzilla more but King Kong is a great character and the original 30's film was a technical masterpiece. I kind of wonder if they will end up working together to fight another monster or monsters.

You know what I have a theory...
In the beginning of Kong: Skull Island, a Japanese and American soldier are fighting on Skull Island. It seems as if the Japanese one is about to win, but then Kong appears and they both escape. Then they decide to work together to survive the dangers of the island. That's what's going to happen in Godzilla VS Kong. They'll fight, Godzilla (the Japanese monster) is just about to kill Kong (the American monster), but then something happens that causes them to work together.


I originally saw this on Reddit and I thought it was pretty awesome.

I prefer Godzilla indefinitely and logically speaking in an accurate fight he wins hands down.

Logically, no contest: Godzilla easily wins (unless the new Kong has special powers or abilities, and from what I've heard about the movie, he doesn't).


I think the theory of them teaming up makes more sense, though, because

King Ghidorah is supposed to be in the next movie. In the traditional storylines, everyone hates Ghidorah; he's the ultimate common enemy.

Yeah, but I'm only talking about the 2014 one since that's the version that'll be fighting

I like how the machinery for Kong's power suit is based on Mechani kong.
