From the game store, duh!
No, screw you. There are more places to get games, asides getting the disk or hardcopy, especially in the case of Steam.
Using Steam as the main example, you can just buy games from the store and they give the official receipt. Though there are other sites that sell the very same keys for Steam and other DRM platforms. So for example, Shadow of Mordor costs $30 on Steam with all DLC, yet costs less than $10 if you bought it from a key selling site. How can you argue with that? Unless you pirate of course.
Anyway, at this point, I pretty much stopped buying from Steam unless a sale gives a price that's lower than 3rd party sites.
With that, do share with us how you guys buy your games, for all platforms, not only Steam or PSN.

I rarely get digital, so usually GameStop. Sometimes Target or Walmart.

Physical copies: GAME, Grainger Games, CeX and sometimes Amazon. There's a shop in my city called Retro World where I sometimes buy retro/second hand games.
Digital: Nintendo eShop and PSN Store. |

I usually just get digital. Steam, PSN, and Origin.
I haven't gotten physical in a long time but if I did it would likely be something like GameStop, Best Buy, Target or Walmart. Whatever has it cheaper. |

Key selling stores can be less trustworthy though, especially in the case of G2A(tl;dr devs have said it's better to pirate than buy illegit keys so)
I buy either on Steam/Humble Bundle or used from my country's ebay equivalent. New is no longer worth it for physical where I live.

I'll not talk about every single place but just the main ones.
I get physical games at GAME but I can take my time at Amazon with more choices. I buy a lot my digital games on PlayStation Store and PC and Mac games on GOG.com.

Media Markt (sales), CeX (second hand), Amazon (big sales and only some times) and depending on the game, digital (PSN sales and/or Steam sales).

So far I've had no issues with any of my G2A keys. Hell, I'd rather buy everything from G2A or other sites if they price is way lower than the Steam sale. My only issue is the platform. If I bought AC for Uplay, it's much cheaper than the Steam platform. Oddly enough, Steam uses Uplay anyway, so I end up getting it on Steam + Uplay. Though I only need Steam versions for ACII and Brotherhood cuz I need the Mac versions. So as far as I know, in my preference, digital is way better because I don't need to carry any CDs and whatnot and the price can fluctuate really low. $5 for a AAA title? Why the hell not?! |

i usually buy older games that have been off retail shelves for years. so i mainly go to flea markets and second-hand stores. if there's no luck there, i use eBay and Amazon.

For physical games I mostly go with Amazon, sometimes GAME in they have a secial editon (Like with A Link Between Worlds)
I don't play many PC games, but they're pretty much all from Humble Bundle or direct from Steam.
