Hi, readers! Before i begin this story, i would like to summerize some things.
First, this story is about when Ignitus, Volteer, Terrador and Cyril were teens (Or spyros age in DOTD.) and went to summer camp in the Great Forest to learn how to survive. (The Great Forest is a forest 13 miles from Warfang .) The forest is 100 miles of nothing but trees and is home to many wild animals.
Second, the main characters are Ignitus, Volteer, Terrador, and Cyril. But there is some other characters that i would like to introduce. (None from the video games!)

Wait a minet, did you get "Cindy" from me? *My nick name is Dark Cindy*

No. No offense, but ive never seen you in this website before. I chose the name Cindy because it sounds like Cynder. And i thought the name, "Cindy" situes the character.

It was a bueatiful sunny day. There was no clouds in the sky and the sun shone bright in the sky. Ignitus stared out of the bus window in excitement. He could hardly wait to get to summer camp. Ignitus remembered the day when his mother decided to sign him up.
*Flashback*
It was a rainy day and Ignitus was staring at his teddybear, bored. A "thud" sound against the door made Ignitus jump. He raced toward the door and opened it to find a newspaper. The mail dragon ran by and waved. Ignitus waved back. "Iggggniituss. Close the door, your going to get a cold." Rose, Ignitus mother called. Ignitus closed the door. He looked at the newspaper. He tore the newspaper apart, looking for the comic section. Many articles were titled, "Jewlery robber mystery solved", blah, blah, blah. Finnaly he found the comic section. Most of the comics were lame and boring. Before Ignitus threw the paper away, a ad caught his eye. The ad said,
"Are your teen chicks going to be bored this summer? Then send them to Great Forest Camp! Where Teens go to make friends, explore, learn how to survive in the wild, learn about the Great Forest and more! If you want to sign up, send a letter to,
Great Forest Camp postoffice, T23-5wr, Warfang, DC (DC stands for DragonCountry)"
Ignitus got very excited. Summer camp! He always wanted to go to summer camp!
"Mom! Come look at this!" Ignitus screeched excitedly.
*End of Flashback*

The bus came to a rolling stop. Volteer almost fell out of his seat but soon got up again. "Yay! We reached our destination! Were here! How exciting! This is going to be fun! But it's fun already,," Ignitus stopped tuned out of Volteer and raced out of the bus. They were here at last!

this is good but why would dragons use a bus

Well,,,,,,,because the dragons live in warfang and the great forest is 13 miles away. I didn't want to start the story where the dragons were GOING to the forest. I know the dragons can fly, but it will still take a long time to get there and i think the story would be better if it STARTED where the dragons were just arriving. Please understand!

Ignitus dashed out of the bus and lost his footing. He tripped over a rock and fell down a small slope. When Ignitus reached the bottom he stood up and spit grass out of his mouth. He looked around and stared in amazement at the camp. In front of him stood a wooden sign that said, "Welcome to Great Forest Camp." With a picture of a green dragon on it. Two wooden cabins were in a sandy clearing surronded by trees. A huge boulder was by the two cabins. Another larger cabin was on top of a hill over looking the smaller cabins. There was a huge meadow far from the cabins and a creek ran by at the border of the meadow. A fallen tree lay over the creek. A fire place was in shelter of a group of pine trees and a case of stairs by the fireplace led to the smaller cabins. The other dragons were also inspecting the surrondings. A large green dragon came out of the larger cabin.
"Welcome, campers!" He boomed and the dragons jumped up in suprise.

"I suppose your the counciler." Cyril guessed.
"That's right. Iam Ralph. Now, for this summer," A pink dragon broke him off.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa. You mean were here for the entire SUMMER!?" She asked.
"Yes. But it will be worth it. Every day, you will train for 3 hours on your elemantal skills, fighting and flying skills. And you will also learn survival skills. Every friday, we will play a game testing these skills. Sometimes the games our solo or in teams. Either way, every game won, you will earn points for your team." Ralph then went back into his cabin and came back in two minutes. He carried two flags, one blue with a voilet cougar on it in a green circle, the other red with a orange wolf in a yellow triangle.
"One team will be the Blue Cougars, the other will be the Red Wolfs. All the fire, electricity, and shadow, dragons will be in the Red wolf team, and all the earth,wind and ice dragons will be in The Blue Cougar team." Ignitus, Volteer and Shadow shuffled toward the red flag while Cyril, Cindy, Terrador and Jade shuffled toward the blue flag. Amber stayed in the middle.
"But,, but,, iam a crossbreed of fire and wind. " Amber said, sounding confused.
"Well, the Red Cougars are short of one dragon, join their team."Amber did as Ralph said.
"Now, go to your cabins. Your team's name should be on the front doors. There are four indivsual rooms assigned to each dragon with their name on the door. Unpack your luggage and once that is done. Help your team mates hang the team flag on top of the cabin. Then rest, you will need the energy. When you hear the bell, gather at the firepit."Ralph instructed. Ignitus picked up the flag in his mouth and raced toward the cabin. "This is exciting!" He thought.


Sorry, this is all i can type right now.

The cabin was not what Ignitus excpected. He had expected a plain, rundown cabin with two bunkbeds. But it was far from that. The main room had a green rug and a large couch faced a fireplace. A blanket was streched out in front of the fireplace. A door leading to the bathroom was on the wall oppisite of the fireplace. The bathroom had a large mirror that opened to a cabinet to store bathroom items. To Ignitus's suprise, and the rest of his team mates, nothing else was in the bathroom.
"There's nothing here but a glass mirror! Why should their be a bathroom in the first place! I mean" Volteer blabed on and on untill Amber cut him off of his sentence.
"There's a note here." Amber said as she picked up the note.
"Dear campers. The only thing in the bathroom you will need is a cabnit to store your stuff. Baths, teeth brushing, and face washing will be done in the river.
Sincerly, Ralph.
Ignitus noticed that he didn't mention empting bowels. "He probaly wants us to empty our bowels by a bush or something. It seems to obvious to write that down." Ignitus thought.

"Well, it's not a big deal. Iam going to continue unpacking." Ignitus annouced and went back into the main room. A red door with the word "Ignitus" painted green on it was just by the fireplace. In the room the walls were painted pale red and the carpet was orange. The bed was covered in dark purple blankets and a orange feather pillow sat on the bed. A window almost the size of the entire wall was beside the bed and the sunlight shone through the window, making the room very light. A dresser sat in the corner. Ignitus unzipped his bag and grabbed Grizz, his teddybear. Grizz had soft, honey -brown fur and one of his ears were missing. As soon as Ignitus hatched, Grizz was beside him, waiting for him to hatch. Ignitus squezzed Grizz and put him gently on the pillow. Then Ignitus grabbed another one of his valued belonings, his peice of hardened magma. He found it just weeks after hatching. He put it in the bottom door of the dresser. He grabbed his black blanket and layed it over top of the bed. Then Ignitus put his toothbrush, toothpaste, scale lotion, and healing cream into the cabnit of the bathroom. Healing cream is healing gems crushed into a thick cream that can cure anything except super bad injuries.
"Well, Iam done un-packing, are you Shadow?" Ignitus said.
"Just placing in one more thing."He responded as he trotted into his room. Ignitus followed. The walls were painted black and everything else in the room was black too and there were no windows. So when Shadow grabbed his thing, Ignitus was blinded by silver light. When Ignitus got used to the light, he saw the source of it. It was a sword. The biggest sword Ignitus had ever seen. It looked like it was carved out of pure silver and the handle was soild gold covered with brown leather.
"It's buetiful."Igitus whispered as he reached out to touch it.
"No touch!" Shadow pulled the sword back and Ignitus jumped in panic.
"If your not careful you could hurt somebody you know." Ignitus warned. But even through Ignitus's fear that the sword could easily slice him in half, he couldn't stop admiring it.
"Where on earth did you get that?" Ignitus asked.
"I made it." Shadow said as he put it back in his case and into the dresser. Ignitus couldn't belive his ears.
"You,, you MADE that? How?" Ignitus stammered.
"Well, ive been to the Great Forest before. There's a huge abandoned mine of silver here. It was perfect for making wepons for. But now, it is gone,," Shadow's gaze turned sad as he apperaed to be lost in memories of sorrow. "What could he mean?" Ignitus thought. Ignitus didn't know Shadow well, but he certainly seemed to be a mysterious dragon.
"What do you mean it's gone?" Ignitus asked.
"I, i can't tell you." Shadow hung his head and he seemed even more troubled.
"Well, we should rest. Like Ralph said, we'll need the energy."Shadow said and colapesed onto his bed with a thump. Ignitus left the room, wondering what on earth could be trobling Shadow.

The weather wasn't pleasent anymore when Ignitus woke up. The high winds disturbed his sleep and he grumbled in complaint. "Shut up, you stupid wind!" Ignitus mumbled, but he knew at the sound of the wind, it wasn't going to die down anytime soon. Ignitus unwillingly stepped out of bed and looked out the window. The trees waved in the wind and many leaves were being scattered by the speedy breeze. If that wasn't enough, it started to rain and puddles formed very quickly. Ignitus watched the wind and the rain for a while, then it stopped and the sun returned to the forest. "That doesn't make sense, a storm usauly lasts longer than that." Ignitus thought as he scratched his head. But Ignitus didn't care right now, at least he could go back to bed.
An hour later the sound of bells filled the clearing. Ignitus jumped out of bed and raced out of the cabin. He felt full of energy now. Most of the puddles were clear now and all the dragons were gathered by the firepit. He sat beside Shadow and the rest of his teammates. "What are we doing?" Ignitus whispered to Shadow. "A scavenger hunt." Shadow whispered back. Then Ralph spoke.
"Everyone, we are going on a scavenger hunt. Each team will go on their dericted path and find the clues scattered on the trail. Each clue will lead you to a goody bag with prizes for each of you for yours to keep. The first team back to the firepit will win a fresh feast." The campers whispered excitedly to eachother in metion of the lovely prize.
"However, for the losers, they will eat rotte=ing meat and will be chained to the posts for the night." Ralph annouced and pointed at the stream. Just past the stream 6 wooden posts were planted in the ground and had a green ring around each. Attached to the ring was a green chain and a necklace.
(Author's note: If you played DOTD, you will know what i mean. The green chain is the same chain that tied Spyro and Cynder together in DOTD)
"The chain is designed to wrap around a dragons neck and trap the victim in it's place. If you lose this challenge, this will be your fate." Ralph said.

Ignitus shivered at the thought of being chained to a post all night with no food except rotten meat.
'Now go. There will be a trail marked blue and red. Red team goes on the red trail, blue team goes on theirs." Ralph called after them.

Iam not writing this story anymore, because nobody likes it or reads it!!! <

WOW! This story is AWSOME! No, really. It's like the stories I read and write. Not about Spyro and Cynder's legindary purple dragon daughter/son.

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!! WOOT! :D

Soon it began to rain and Cyril was soaking wet. Finnaly they came to a trail that split in two. The left led to a pine forest, the right led to rolling hills covered in long grass. The right had a log beside it marked by a blue flag, the left trail marked by a red flag.
"I think we go this way." Terrador said and took the right trail.
"Ha! Were going to win that fresh feast!" Amber growled and bared her teeth. Cyril growled and bared his teeth back.
Soon the trail became sandy and more rocky. Then they came to a ravine with a fallen tree over top of it. Cyril hopped onto the fallen tree and started making his way across.
"Be careful, Cyril! It might not be steady." Cindy warned.
"Don't worry, iam fine-" But Cyril was cut off by a loud snap and the tree split in half!
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!" Cyril screamed as he fell down into the ravine. Cyril landed in sand and he groaned in pain. His shoulder landed on a rock.
"Are you okay?" Jade called from above.
"Iam fine." Cyril said, even though his shoulder was bleeding. Cyril licked the wound clean and moved down further into the ravine.
"Iam going to try and find a way out. You stay up there. If i can't find a way out soon. Go get help." Cyril called.
"Okay." The rest of his team called. The ravine was definitely to deep to fly out of, so that option was denied. Cyril looked around for a boulder he could use to climb out of. There were a lot of rocks down here, but not big enough for Cyril to stand on.
"Some of these will be perfect for Terrador's rock collection." Cyril thought as he picked up some interesting looking rocks for his friend.
The rain continued to hammer the forest as Cyril tried to find a way out of the ravine. Soon the sound of rushing water filled his ears.
He turned around and to his horror a giant wave was coming toward him! The wave swept up Cyril and he struggled to stay afloat.
"HELP!" He gurgled as he clung to a boulder and climbed up. All around him water flooded the ravine and threatened to drown his out-of-water santuary. His team-mate's heard his cry's for help and couldn't belive their eyes. Cyril was surronded by water!
"CYRIL!" Terrador cried.

YAY! More story! Woot! Continue! It's very good.

Cyril knew he had to think of something, and fast. Then an idea did come to him. He breathed ice on the rushing water. But it didn't work. The ice melted in the warm tempature and raised the level of the water, sweeping up Cyril again. Cyril splashed his front paws, trying to keep his head above the water, but he was tiring out. Cyril sunk below the water and everything went dark,,

Terrador felt panic rising in him like a balloon.
"CINDY! Can't you use your ice breath to freeze the water?" Terrador said. Cindy shook her head.
"It's too warm for the ice to freeze. Even if it could freeze, Then we would freeze Cyril." Cindy said matter-of-factly.
"Fine. Then iam going in there myself." Terrador said and flapped his wings and took off. He dove into the water and looked around. Then he spotted a blue dragon with rocks in his mouth. Terrador grabbed him and took off into the air again. He landed by the cheering dragons that was Jade and Cindy. Cyril spit the rocks out of his mouth.
"I found those in the ravine. I thought you would like them for your rock collection." Cyril wheezed. Terrador inspected the rocks. They were clear that you could see through them and they shined in the sunlight.
"Cyril, these are diamonds!" Terrador exclaimed. Jade and Cindy gasped.
"Really? They looked like rocks in the ravine." Cyril gasped. Terrador grabbed the rocks and buried them.
"I'll put them here untill we get back." Terrador said.
So 5 minutes later Cyril recovered and they continued on the scavenger hunt.
Finnaly, when the sun started to set, they found a bag on the ground.
"Yay! We must have reached the treasure Ralph was talking about! Open it! Open it! Open it! " Jade bounced up and down in excitement. Terrador ripped the bag open with his claw to find,,,,,,,,, nothing but a peice of paper! The dragons were so stunned they just stared at the peice of paper with their mouths open. Finnaly Terrador picked up the peice of paper.
"You have found the treasure, congratulations.
-Ralph." Terrador read aloud.
"WHAT TREASURE IS THIS!?" Cindy screeched in fury.
So they flew back to the camp by the fire place. The red team was not there yet.
"Allright! Fresh feast!:" The dragons cherred at the same time and high fived. Then terrador relized something.
"Wait a minute, we did win a tresure!" Terrador said and dandced in happiness.
"What treasure?" Cyril sneered.
"The fresh feast! But even more important, the value of friendship." Terrador said.
"You know, i think he's right!" Cindy agreed. So the four new friends high-fived again and went into the dining hall to enjoy the fresh feast.
In the dining hall was one long table filled with food. A huge turkey sat in the middle of the table with golden brown biscuists with butter. Mashed patatoes also sat beside the butter and lobsters sat cooked and waiting in a row by the turkey. A smaller, but just as freshly cooked, duck was by the wild berry pie. Freshly baked choclate chip, strawberry cookies sat on a tray on one end of the table. Lots of bevrages was on a smaller table. Milk, orange juice, root beer, cream soda, choclate milk, and the most famous beverage of Warfang, mixed dragon fruit pop. There were four plates in front of the chairs with a knawing bone (Dragon's equivalent to tooth pick.) And a cup for bevrages. Then Ralph came out of the kithen, mixing more dragon fruit pop.
"Oh, your the winners of the scavenger hunt, i see?" Ralph said. The four dragons nodded eagerly.
"Then dig in." Ralph said.
After a good meal, the blue team went back to their cabin for yet another suprise. In the living room was a tv with a stack of classic movies. There was also pizza of all kinds,dragon gummy candies, hot choclate, Dragon oreo cookies, and dried leaves with every edible berry inside. (A type of sandwich for dragons.)
"Whoo hoo! Let's watch!" Cyril said excitedly and poped in the first movie called: "The Great Battle of Warfang."
After they all watched all the movies and ate all the snacks, Terrador looked at the clock. It was midnight. Then Ralph roared outside.
"What's going on?" Cindy wondered and raced outside.
At the firepit Ralph looked really upset.
"What's happening, Ralph?" Terrador asked.
"The red team has not returned." Ralph said grimly.

Coool...wonder what's happened to them?

Ignitus couldn't belive the trouble they were in,, and danger.
"How did this happen?" Ignitus thought as he thought of the events that led up to this moment,,,
Flashback
"Look! There's the first clue!" Amber cried and pointed at a branch high up in a tree with her tail. Sure enough, there sat the first clue.
"How do we get it from all the way up there?" Volteer wondered.
"Easy." Amber said before breathing wind on the tree branch. The clue fell out of the tree branch and into Amber's waiting paw. She opened the clue and she read aloud,
"Go along the path untill you reach a abandoned mine with something valuble waiting inside,,"
"Well, lets not just stand around, lets go!" Volteer said before he raced away. Amber follwed close behind. Shadow didn't look so eager, though. Ignitus walked up to Shadow.
"Do you think the mine in the clue is the same one you mentioned?" Ignitus whispered.
"I know so. It's the only mine in the Great Forest. But Ralph was so wrong to choose that place for us to go to. So wrong." Shadow shook his head.
"But that mine, you see, used to belong to a tribe of dragons living in the forest. They used it to make armor and wepons. But another tribe, of bears, took it over and seek to getting rid of the other dragons. I, was a part of the Dragon Tribe. In fact, i was, i am, Prince Shadow." Shadow whispered.
Ignitus couldn't belive what he was hearing.
"But the bears knew that if they caught me, they could hold me hostage to take the Dragon Tribe's territory and kick the rest out. They raided the camp that night, and i was ordered to fly away and not come back untill i was old enough to get back my kingdom. I signed up for this camp because i knew,, the time,, is right." Shadow said. Ignitus was so shocked he could hardly walk.
"Why would you tell me? You barley know me." Ignitus replied faintly.
"We all have allies, Ignitus. But sometimes we have very little, and we must trust who seems strong and loyal." Shadow said and gazed into Ignitus's eyes. Then Ignitus got the message.
"Why, how can i help you gain back a entire kingdom? It, it," Ignitus felt to weak to finsh the sentence.
"When i feel overpowered, i just think of one peice of advice my grandfather gave me. In dark times, all you can do, is trust your instincts, and belive."Shadow said and walked on. Ignitus wondered how a teen dragon could grow to be so wise.
"I guess if your an exiled prince trying to fight for freedom, you learn a lot of things." Ignitus thought.
Soon after the mystifying conversation, they reached the mine.
"Well, the next clue should be somewhere in these caves. Everyone split up and start searching!" Amber said and entered one of the caves.
Igntius entered the largest cave, heart pounding in his chest.He searched carefully, jumping at the smallest sound. When he found nothing in the cave except for lots of silver, he went into another one. Igntius looked under a rock to feel something furry. The furry thing groaned and stood on two legs and roared. Ignitus stumbled out of the cave and screamed, "BEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
End of flashback.

Continue! I can't stand the suspense! ^^

Now, the massive bear was chasing Ignitus through the forest. Ignitus ran at top speed,(The trees were to close together to fly through.) but the bear still kept up with Ignitus at a fast pace. Ignitus looked over his shoulder to see the bear right behind him. He ran so fast the trees were a blur.
"For a fat creature, he should be slow!" Ignitus thought bitterly. Ignitus didn't dare say the comment out loud. Then he heard Shadow's voice.
"Ignitus! Look out!" He warned. It was too late. The grass crumbled underneath Ignitus feet and he fell. The rain had washed away most of the cliff, leaving it falling apart! Ignitus grabbed onto a tree root and he dared to look down. A group of bears were waiting for him at the bottom! Ignitus looked up again to find the bear that had been chasing him on the top of the crumbling cliff.
"Oh, no." Ignitus groaned. Then something that looked like black fire engulfed the bear and he ran away, growling as he tried to get the black stuff away from him. Shadow raced after the bear.
"Get back here, you coward!" Shadow sneered and clawed his back leg. The bear's gasped in shock.
"Prince Shadow! He's alive!" The bear's cried. Amber and Volteer looked even more shocked.
" Di-d the-y say PRINCE Shado-w?" Amber stammered.
"Too many things are happening at once. My head's spinning." Ignitus thought as he climbed up the cliff. Shadow had pounced on the bear's back and clawed his back while the bear growled and tried to throw him off.
"Well, don't just stand there, help him!" Ignitus shouted and ran toward the bear. Ignitus scrathed the bear's face, leaving painful scars. The bear roared in rage and rolled onto his back and crushed Shadow.
"Ahh!" Shadow screamed. Ignitus breathed fire on the bear and the bear finnaly retreated and jumped into a nearby stream. Shadow lay on the ground, unmoving.
"Shadow?" Ignitus said nervously. Shadow didn't reply.
"He's dead. Now what?" Ignitu thought hopelessly. The bear's started to climb up the ledge and surrond the dragons. Visons of flames filled Ignitus eyes as he floated in mid-air with his wings spread out and a wall of fire started to form.
"I-I-I-Ignitus?" Volteer stammered. The only reply was a loud BOOM as fire fury surronded the bears and caught their fur on fire. The bears whined and ran for the same nearby stream as the other bear. Ignitus slowly fell to the ground again and he was normal again. Amber and Volteer ran up to him.
"What was all that about?" Amber snapped rudely.
"Well, um,," Ignitus said before Volteer inturupted.
"Well, it's what you know as fury. Each element dragon has a diffrent fury power, such as fire, ice, electricity, earth," Volteer said and Amber cut him off.
"I KNOW WHAT IT IS! But did you have to do that? You could've gotton us killed!" Amber shouted and before anybody could reply, she stomped away. Then Shadow limped over to the other dragons.
"Where are all the bears?" Shadow said.
"Their all gone. I scared them off." Ignitus said and looked at Shadow, confused.
"Don't worry, Iam fine. Just because a bear crushed me and i sit still for a few minutes doesn't mean Iam dead." Shadow explained.

Continue, but I'm confused, is this still the flashback?

No, this is what happens AFTER the flashback.

Orange,voilet and red danced in the sky as night settled over the forest. Amber had rejoined Shadow, Volteer, and Ignitus as they wandered around the forest aimlessly.
"Amber, why were you so mad at Ignitus when he activated fury? He didn't do anything wrong." Shadow said.
"Well, iam just tired, hungry, and thirsty and i lost my temper. Sorry." Amber said sarcastically and rolled her eyes.
"You know, Amber has a point. Trying to find the camp by walking around in the forest all night is going to get us more lost and only make us more tired. Let's just find a place to set up camp and settle down for the night." Volteer suggested.
"Okay, how about sleeping in a meadow?" Ignitus suggested. Nobody agreed. Everybody was still shaken by the bear attack. And Amber and Volteer were still shocked about the news about Shadow and where he REALLY came from. So they continued to walk in silence untill they reached a small, sandy clearing surronded by trees. Amber looked around and found a small cave inbetween two boulders. Everybody squezzed into the narrow entrance. The cave was small but big enough for everybody's own nest.
"Okay, me and Amber will collect bedding for everybody and Ignitus and Volteer will hunt for food." Shadow commanded.
Outside the sun had vanished and the only source of light was from the moon and the stars. Even though it was summer it was very cold. How Volteer longed to be back in the warm cabin.
"Volteer!" A voice made him jump.
"Be quiet! Iam trying to hunt." Ignitus growled. Ignitus pounced but the prey he was chasing ran away.
"Looks like it got away anyway." Volteer said with amusement. Ignitus growled and walked away.
"Looks like tiredness is getting to Ignitus too." Volteer thought. Then Volteer spotted a big, fat, eagle. Volteer pounced on it and dug his claws into the eagle. The eagle screeched with alarm and flew away, dragging Volteer with him! Volteer bit the eagle's neck and he fell down and landed on his back. Ignitus soon came back with a rabbit. Ignitus dropped his rabbit to speack.
"That eagle will be enough to feed us all. Let's go." Then Ignitus picked up his rabbit and ran off. But something caught Volteer's eye. It was a net!
"L-l-look out!" Volteer cried. His warning came too late. A pile of leaves sprang up into the air as the net trapped Ignitus. Ignitus shouted with alarm and tried toget free, but the net burst with electricity and shocked Ignitus.
"Ahh!" Ignitus screamed in pain. All of the sudden 5 dragons came out of their hiding spots and ran toward the trapped Ignitus.
"Don't worry about me! Just go!" Ignitus shouted. Volteer nodded, picked up the eagle carcass and flew away as fast as he could.
When Volteer reached the clearing Shadow and Amber had started a fire. Volteer landed by the fire and collapsed.
"Oh my! Volteer! What happened!" Amber excliamed.
"5-5 dragons captured Ignitus." Volteer gasped for air. It seemed like his first breath of air since Ignitus was kidnapped. Shadow looked very concerned.
"What were their colours?" Shadow questioned.
"White, blue, green, another green and brown." Volteer said.
"Oh no. That sounds like my clan!" Shadow said worridley.
"What will they do with him?" Amber wondered.
"If Ignitus tells them that he's seen me, they'll think Ignitus is a spy for the bear's and they'll interrogate him. Since he doesn't know anything, he's going to lend up with a lot of scars, or worse." Shadow annouced grimly. Amber sprang up into the air and landed on her feet.
"Then we have to go save him!" Amber said and ran off. Volteer pounced on Amber.
"We can't go now. Were all tired. We'll probaly lend up kidnapped too if we try to save him now." Volteer said. Amber sighed.
"I guess your right." She said and breathed wind on the campfire untill it burned out. Volteer felt so tired his feet felt like 100 pound weights. When Volteer squeezed into the cave and laid down into his nest Volteer felt a wave of sleep wash over him and Volteer closed his eyes.

Voices woke Volteer the next foggy morning.
"Well never find them in this fog." One voice said hopelessly, that sounded suspicously familar. But Volteer didn't notice. It must be Shadow's clan, trying to find us! Volteer thought in horror. He peeked out of the cave and saw four dragons and one bigger one.
"Volteer, what's going on?" Amber asked.
"Shh, it's Shadow's clan, searching for us!" Volteer whispered. The group of dragons search the camp. One peeked into the cave where they were all in!
"Vol-" Before the dragon could finish Volteer pounced on the dragon and slapped the intruder across the face.
"LET IGNITUS GO!" Volteer screamed at the top of his lungs and a flock of ravens nearby fled.
"Volteer!" Another voice shouted that startled Volteer. How does he know my name? Voteer wondered. Volteer let his victim go and looked up. It was Ralph.
"Oh!" Volteer gasped in suprise. After their big adventure the other day, Volteer completely forgot about the fact that they were at summer camp.
"Why didn't you return at sundown! We searched day and night wasting our energy for you!" Ralph exclaimed as Amber and Shadow joined Volteer by his side and spread their wings out defensivley.
"It wasn't our fault! You wouldn't remember the way back after a bear attack," Amber cut herself off as Shadow glared at her in fury.
"Bear attack! What a lame excuse!" Ralph started shouting again utill he noticed the scar on Shadow's side and then he noticed for the first time that Ignitus was missing.
"Wheres Ignitus?" Ralph said in a calmer voice, as if he relized shouting would give him no answers. Amber, Volteer and Shadow let their wings drop to their sides.
"We don't know. I went hunting with him to find food, and he disapeared." Volteer said as he felt pain on his wing. There was a big gash on it and it was dried with blood. Volteer knew a bear must have scrathed him there. When they didn't stop to rest, the wound got worse. Now the gash was opening again and blood oozed out. Volteer's head clouded with dark clouds as he colappsed onto the ground, the worried shouts of his team mate's echoing as Volteers vison went blurry, and then went black.

Later in the day the sun vaproised the fog and the weather was pleasent. But Ignitus was far from happy. A day had passed and Ignitus was getting scars and growing pathitcally thin. The clan of dragons did what Shadow had feared, and now the clan locked him in his cell all day, passing disgusted glances at him and only gave him rotten food to eat, for they thought he was a spy for the bears. Ignitus pretended to look helpless as the other dragons passed by, but Ignitus was really biding his time to escape. Only two curios hatchlings talked to him and offered to help him escape.
That night the two hacthlings, pink and blue, Cassy and Roger, Cassy the pink one and Roger the blue one, came to his cell.
"Ignitus! Ignitus!" They called urgently.
"What is it?" Ignitus yawned.
The bears are invading! There coming just up the hill now!" Roger explained.
"This would be a perfect time for me to escape!" Ignitus thought out loud.
The two hatchlings didn't agree.
"You have to help us! Everybody is trying to fend them off and there starting to breack through. Their going to crush all the eggs and kill us! You know Shadow, just call him with the horn on top of the leader's den, and then he'll come! He's our only chance!" Cassy said rapidly and burst into tears.
"Hey, don't cry. If you need me to help save your clan, you have to be strong, okay?" Ignitus said.
"Okay." The hatchlings sobbed.
"Go into the leader's den and grab the key and then let me out, that's all you have to do." Ignitus said quickly. He noticed that the bears were coming in quick.
"We won't let you down!" Cassy said and they ran as fast as their little legs would carry them.
A minute later they returned and freed Ignitus from the cramped cell. Ignitus flew on top of the leader's den and blew the horn. The call sounded like a dying dinosaur and ecoed across the entire forest. The dragons and bears stopped fighting and looked up to Ignitus that was cast sliver by the moonlight. The dragons were shocked.
"The prisnor is free! Catch him!" The leader cried. The battle raged on as dragons pinned him down and breathed their element on him. Through Ignitus's now limted vison he saw a bear pounce on Roger and Cassy and they wailed as the bear preapred to kill them.
"NOO!! Ignitus cried and in a firey explosion, knocked the dragons off of Ignitus. Ignitus tailtip was on fire and so was the rest of his skin. Fire blazed in his eyes as he charged at the bear in a firey comet.

Ignitus knocked the bear 10 feet in the air and landed on the ground with a sickening thud. The bear didn't move after his fall. Fury Ignitus looked around the camp. The bears were starting to defeat the dragons and some entered the nursery. Ignitus charged after the bears untill another bear pinned him down. Ignitus tried to get the bear off, but she was too heavy. Ignitus whipped his head around and breathed fire in her face. She roared as she ran around in firey blindness. Ignitus chaged into the nursery, but he was too late. Broken eggshells and yolk littered the floor as the bears sqaushed the last egg.
Oh,no Ignitus thought in horror. The sense of horror was quickly replaced by rage. Ignitus floated in mid-air as the wind howled untill nothing else could be heard. Fire rose around Ignitus and twirled like a fire tornado. Than the fire tornado exploded. The blast echoed more than 100 miles away and the explosion shook the trees and turned the dark sky into a golden firey yonder. The entire forest was on fire for a split second untill the screeching wind killed the fire. Silence gripped the forest for what seemed like an eternity.
Then a furious roar cut the silence and Ignitus, now normal once more, raced outside to see what was happening. All the bears were dead except the leader, who Shadow cornered by a fallen tree.
"There are many more of us! Once i call them, you will all be doomed." The bear snarled.
"My father was killed because of you and your army has made us suffer for far too long. This ends now." Shadow annoced and peirced his sword into the bear's chest. The bear gargled and stared at Shadow in hatred before Shadow pulled his sword out of the enemy's chest. The bear fell to the ground as blood stained his fur. The dragons cheered widly.
Then the dragon leader raised his tail for silence.
"Prince Shadow has freed us from these horrible creatures and the nasty war is over. But Shadow, we see you have come with friends. Would you like to stay with them, or come back to us?" He asked. It seemed like forever untill Shadow gave his answer.
"I will stay with my friends." Shadow said and the clan dragons gasped in shock.
"We all respect your desison." The leader said as he took Shadow's sword from him and stuck it in the ground.
"This sword will be a monument and shall never be removed. We will never forget this battle here tonight." The dragon leader said and dissmissed the dragons with a flick of his tail. Ignitus walked to the clan entrance when someone pulled on his tail.
"Ow!" Ignitus complained and turned around to see Cassy and Roger.
"Thanks for saving us. Here, we made you this." Roger said and held out a necklace. It had a raptor claw on it along with some dragon teeth.
"It will bring you goodluck wherever you go." Cassy said as Ignitus silpped the necklace around his neck.
"Thanks. You guys take care of yourself, okay?" Ignitus said.
"We will." Cassy and Roger said at the same time as Ignitus flew into the night to catch up with his friends.

One week later summer camp was going by normally. Shadow was starting to become more friendly and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. Untill one fateful day. Cyril woke up and walked out of the cabin. Gray clouds covered the sky and thunder rumbled close by. Terrador stood beide him.
"Hopefully this storm won't cancel today's activities." Terrador said and headed toward the fire pit. Cyril nodded and followed him. By the time everybody was gathered by the fire pit, lightning crackled in the sky.
"Campers, the grass is dry and a thunder storm is praccticaly on top of us. There is a very high chance of fire today, so today's activites are cancelled." Ralph annouced.
The campers groaned.
"So you can practice your skills today instead. Meeting dissmissed." Ralph said.
Cyril headed toward the elemantal station along with Cindy.
"I was really looking forward to swimming today." Cindy moaned.
"Me too." Cyril replied.
"Well, at least there's something to do." Cindy said and was just about to open the door to the elemantal station when lightning struck the station on fire!

Wood planks scattered everywhere and struck the trees on fire!
"AHHH!!" Cindy and Cyril screamed. Cyril and Cindy breathed ice on the trees, but failed to put the fire out. The fire spread in no time and the whole camp was on fire. Smoke blocked Cyril's vison.
"This way!" Cindy cried and guided Cyril with her tail. Cyril followed Cindy through the disastroues fire. A stream gurgled nearby.
"There's a stream over there. We should go there!" Cyril suggested. So they crawled into the stream and the ice cold water tickled their bellies.
The fire surronded the stream and inched closer and closer to the two dragons.
"We can't stay here, or we'll choke on the smoke." Cindy said and flew into the sky. Cyril flew after her.
"Are you crazy! We'll get shocked up here!" Cyril screeched.
"We stand a better chance up here than-" Before Cindy could say more lighting shocked Cindy and she fell to the ground.
"CINDY!" Cyril cried.

I don't know what your saying, but i already apoligized to you in your guest book. I made i mistake. Honest!


Cindy hit the ground and didn't get back up. Cyril landed beside her and checked for a pulse. There was a pulse, but it fainted slower and slower every second.
What should i do? If i don't do something, she'll die, Then an Idea came to Cyril. He would have to lie to his friends and make sure nobody saw her, but he couldn't watch her die. So Cyril took a few paces back and breathed ice on Cindy. Ice grew slowly around Cindy's skin and evantully Cindy was frozen in a block of ice. Cyril picked up the ice block and flew away.
I have to get this far way from camp so Ralph will never find it. Cyril thought. Cyril flew through the smoke and fire untill it sunndenly stopped.
"What the," Cyril said to himself untill he reached the clearing. it was the Forbidden Lake. It's ice cold water and constant high water levels kept the fire away from it's shores.
Of course! This is the perfect place to put Cindy,, for now. Cyril thought as he put the block of ice that froze Cindy into the lake. The ice sunk into the lake and the lake began to freeze over. The ice locked the lake and the land around it and kept growing over top of the prievious layer of ice. By the time the ice stopped, it was 20 feet thick. Cyril couldn't help but wonder if he did the right thing, but it was the only option. Cyril flew away back to camp.
The Forbidden Lake ice must hace sent off some mist because mist clouded the forest and died down the fire. Cyirl tried putting out the fire again and this time it worked. Now the flames were tiny and soon died.
Back at camp everybody was gathered around the firepit, or what used to be the firepit. Ralph was muttering to himselfuntill he saw Cyril.
"Where is Cindy!?" He roared. Cyril's hopes plummeted. He had a lot of explaining to do.

"Well?" Ralph sneered.
"Cindy, is gone." Cyril lied, trying not to tremble.
"What do you mean 'gone'." Jade wondered.
"I don't,, know. We were,, trying to escape the fire, i was,r- running, i looked behind me, and all of the sudden, she was gone." Cyril choked.
Ralph hung his head and sighed.
"It's like this every year," He muttered to himself and limped back to his cabin. The campers looked at eachother nervously, wondering what he meant. When he came out again he still looked stressed and tired out.
"We need to send out a search party. We will look by the Forbidden Lake first. She is more likely to get lost in that area." Ralph annouced.
Cyril's blood ran cold.

"What are you so depressed about Cyril?" Ignitus asked.
"It's nothing, i-" Before Cyril could finish Ralph roared in rage. Ignitus raced along to see what was happening while Cyril slowed his pace. The dragons stared at The frozen Forbidden Lake in shock and horror.(except Cyril)
"How on earth could the lake be frozen at this time of year!? Only an ice spell-" Then Raplh stopped in mid-sentence as if he had an idea. He lifted his paw and banged it on the ground as hard as he could, knocking the campers off their feet. The shockwave cracked the ice and the ice broke into a billion peices. The summer heat melted the small ice floes and soon the Forbidden Lake was once more a lake. A body floted to the surface. As soon as the body touched the surface it burst to life and splashed through the water. Once the creature reached the shore Cyril regonized her at once. It was Cindy! Cyril never felt more pride in his life. He did do the right thing! He saved Cindy from a horrible death. But Ralph's reaction was far more negative.
"CYRIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Ralph roared so loud Cyril's ears ringed.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the earth,,,

"Servant? What was that scream?" Malefor demanded.
"It's coming from The great Forest sir. A green dragon is angry at a younger blue dragon." The servant replied, looking through the telescope.
"Oh, well. Come on, let's finsh the game of sherades." Malefor said and went back into his lair.

good way to end that chapter.

Ralph was furious.
"How dare you freeze another camper!" He screeched.
"She was struck by lightning! If i didn't do it, she would be dead!" Cyril snarled back.
"It was a foolish thing to do. You could have called for help!" Ralph screamed.
"Ralph, you know it was the only thing-" Before Shadow could say more Ralph inturuptted.
"IT WAS THE WRONG THING TO DO! Cyril, for the rest of the summer you will clean the bathrooms and not particapte in friday games!" Ralph commanded and headed back to camp. Cyril never felt so angry. What else could i do, you foolish sack of dirt. Cyril cursed to himself.

The stars glittered like diamonds in the sky. Cyril snuck out of the cabin and flew into the night sky.
"If he can't see that i did the right thing, fine. Goodbye, 'you will never see me again." Cyril whispered to himself.

Later night clouds blocked out the stars and it was raining like crazy. The winds shook the trees wildy. But Cyril flew on. He was determined to get away as far as possible. Then the winds blew Cyril off course and Cyril couldn't control his flight no more. He fell to the ground and landed in a cave. Cyril couldn't see a thing in the cave and fell down a slide!

"Ahhh!" Cyril's screams echoed around the cave walls. He tried to cimb back up and dug his claws into the stone, but the rain made it to slippery. The slide twisted around in circles before Cyril finnaly landed in a puddle at the bottom. The cave was no longer dark. Gold,sliver, sapphire, emarald ,diamonds and rubies lay everywhere and were sealed into the cave walls. Turtle shells and skelatons also were encased in the cave walls. Cyril loooked closer at a skull. It was a dragon skull!
"Ahh!" Cyril squealed and fell backwards into another puddle. A white ghost appeared in the middle of the cave.
Get out,, he called and disapered. Another ghost appeared in a diffrent spot.
Get out or drown,, then another ghost appeared.
And be forced to live as a ghost down here forever,, Than the first one spoke again, Do not suffer the same fate as us, the water level rises,, then the ghosts dissapered.
The spirits were right, the rain turned the slide intio a waterfall and the water started to fill the room with the dark water. Cyril had an idea.
Why don't i just try to freeze the water? He thought and opened his mouth, but nothing came out. cyril tried to breath ice, but nothing came out, and the harder he tried, the less he could breathe. Anotrher ghost apperead.
You cannot use elements down here, it only takes away oxygen,, then the spirit was gone once more. Cyril knew he had to listen to the spirits and get out, or he would drown. Cyril squeezed through a tunnel and to his horror it was a ded end. He tried digging through it, and the decaying wall collapsed to reaveal a small pool. there was no other openings, So Cyril dived into the pool.

Cyril saw another opening and squeezed through. A roaring sound filled the tunnel. Rain water was filling the opening! The water swept up Cyril and Cyril hopelessly splashed to keep his head above the water. Then the water filled the tunnel completely. Finnaly the water pushed Cyril out of the tunnel. Cyril gasped for air. Cyril looked around the cave. Another wide slide opened and the water stated to slide down it. cyril slid down the short slide. then the slide split in two. One end led into a dark pit while the other led into a small tunnel. Cyril changed deriction and crawled under the small opening. It was very dark in the tunnel and started to go upward. Cyril climbed up the wall and dug his claws in. Another cave was at the top and Cyril entered. Except the ground under him started to colapse and Cyril fell! " AHHH!" Cyril screamed and the screams echoed acorss the cave walls. Cyril landed on a black floor that was very hot." Ow!" Cyril cried and decided to hover. A ornage light reflected in Cyril' eyes. Cyril looked at the source of light and couldn't belive his eyes.
Lava! Then it hit Cyril. He wasn't in a cave, he was in an ancient volcano!
"Cyril?" A voice called. Then another dragon appeared. It was Cindy!
"Cindy! what are you doing here?" Cyril demanded.
"I knew what Ralph did to you wasn't right, espiceally when you saved my life. When you ran away, i went after you, and here we are." Cindy explianed.
"Well, we shouldn't be here for long." Cyril said and pointed at the lava. as if on cue the rain water poured in to the pit and went into the lava. The water sizzled and after a long moment the lava erupted! Cyril and Cindy flew as fast as they could away from the lava.
"I never expected this!" Cindy cried. Cyril led the way, even though they were flying side by side, through cracks, holes and shortcuts and the drgaons parted when an obstacle came in the way. the lava was right behind them destroying everything in it's path. Soon they came to a stone wall even though light was shining through.
"It's propblay are way out, but we have to open it." Cyril said.
"With what? If we change deriction or stop now, we'll die!" Cindy pointed out.
"We'll have to try charging at it. I might break and we'll live. It's not a good chance it will work, but it's the only thing we can do." Cyril said.
"Than iam with you." Cindy said. So they closed their eyes and charged at the wall,,,
