No seriously. There are many created by youth culture to be distinct from parents in a time when kids were molded to be like their parents.

Cool, fly, hip, groovy, awesome, hot, super-cool, extreme, radical, bogus, lame.

What is there these days? Epic? Not sure why when used for mundane things? Dank? That's something you say to describe something dark, murky, cold and unpleasant. Apparently kids these think sewers are cool. You know what? That's actually very appropriate because of kids these days are proving they wanna live in the sewers.

I bet kids in 10-50 years time will at this decade and think "Man, people back in the 2010s were so lame. Worse than 1980s." and I will say to them I knew dank was a lame word for lamoids... but they'll see as a lame old man by then.

You DO realize that words' definitions can change over time, right? Gay used to mean happy, as opposed to homosexuals.

I love how the entire premise of this post is missing the key word that makes everything make sense.

Also, I love me some weird ass lingo, so... I cant complain about either generation really.

I would like the 50's but you know... It wouldn't have been a good time for a guy like me if you catch my drift.

I typically hate older times than 2000 because I could have died for being myself, but the 20s, 60s, and 80s are all pretty great

20s had flappers, speakies, Harlem Renaissance, and the wonderful New York/New Orleans cultural hubs
60s had Beatles and peace and love. And Civil Rights, because that was an excellent victory.
80s had great sci-fi and excellent music. The AIDS crisis almost ruins the era too, but people like George Michael, A-Ha, and Bonnie Tyler were all inspirational.
90s had Alanis Morissette, though it wasn't all that great otherwise

The 90's had some great games, animated movies and shows, so I guess I like it.

There was this guy in my class who was selected to give a summary of a story of Canterbury Tales and he mentioned how "part three" went to "yop that dank poison"
