Is all this supposed to be happening before Spyro 1, in Spyro's dreams or what?

I know it isn't even 'real' Spyro (it's just a new series with the Spyro license slapped onto it to attract more buyers) but I'd like to know how they explained everything.

Yeah, it has no relation to the orig's, and even Sierra said that.

I say it's before the StD. But you know, sometimes developers don't always wanna pick off from where it was first started, so it could actually be an alternate universe altogether.

Befor STD, my opinion. And I am independent of Sierra's oppinions...

well ill say reboot world why caz on STD it said there was a red egg stolen by a theath the dragons got the egg and raised him up he met a dragon fly called sparxs who he saved from a bird whilt in ANB he was a purple egg who was tekern to a river and sent down it where he was born with sparxs

They still officially said that it was a sort of reboot to the series.

It's an different/alternate universe, at least in my opinion.

It has nothing to do with original Spyro. It's a reboot of the whole series. The whole point of LOS was to open up the world of Spyro for innovation and change.

Old Spyro games: 90s crap era gaming at its finest: loud commercials, the whole "Attitude the mascot" scheme, jazzier music, unneeded merchandising, goofy worlds, and the works of a gimmicky 3D enviroment.

Sierra Trilogy Spyro: Affected by the sudden out break of the fantasy media explosion: central character is now something super special, more reflective music, little to no merchandising/commercialization, more fantasy-like world, less gimmicky feel due to being used to 3D environments.

No matter who that's supposed to be flipped around to show what happened first and what not, there's no way a world can change up and stuff THAT quickly. Therefore, it's an alternate universe.

Oh well, still rock and roll to me...

Duh!

It was okay, but not as great as they come. But don't let that hurt you alone; pretty much any 90s game (original Sonics, Starfox 64, Pokemon Red-Crystal, Crash, Banjo Kazooie, and others) I don't care for. Greatest era of gaming? Sorry, that was before the SNES and after the crash of 83, which was the era of arcade gaming (which has all but nearly died =( ), which meant no loud commercials, unneeded merchandising, and stupid promotions or awful cartoons.

im pretty sure others have sed this...its a reboot like as if the 1998 game never happened and the New Beginning took its place. i wanted it all to connect but i like what has been done.....

It would have been unbelievably messy had they tried to connect the two.
