I didn't notice how I got into the habit 'til last year but I've been playing Spyro games on my VITA when traveling to college (currently university) and back again late in the year when the days get darker. It feels really good.

Have any of you done the same thing. Maybe not the PS1 games and maybe not on the VITA.

I wouldn't say annually strictly, but the original trilogy (or at least 1 and 2) are some of the most replayable games ever for me.

No. I'll play them on occasion, but every design choice Insomniac implemented that I enjoy in those games are done better by the Ratchet & Clank series. <.<;

When I was younger, I used to replay the PS1 and GBA games more than once a year. I even used to replay Spyro 1, 2 and Season of Flame a week or maybe even day after I finished them. But now, I replay every original series game in order once a year.

Sadly I cannot play them. Lost my means to play them a good while ago.

Yeah I play Spyro quite a lot.
I think it's mainly in the middle of the year that I get the big itch to play Spyro, and then towards the end, and the start of the year I don't feel like playing it. Don't really know why that is? Could be just where I'm taking a little break from it. I mainly play Spyro 2 since that is my favourite one, and the first one.

Not annually but I've started to do it every couple of years or so.
And the best thing is that it's not only fun and nostalgic but I often discovers new things I had no clue about.

That in my book is what makes a game immortal.
