Throughout all the Dragon World, I cannot help but wonder why technology varies so much between worlds. I believe it is because there is no significant trade between them. Moneybags, however, seems to do business with many of these places. Does this mean that Moneybags just wants to establish an economy between these worlds for everyone's gain, but Spyro keeps foiling these benevolent plans, preventing them from becoming reality? Nobody else seems to be for the idea of any economy. Why is it that the dragons even care about gems? Perhaps it is because Moneybags is against nudity in public places. He might be regularly fining them for indecent exposure and because these fines gradually increase, more and more gems appear in the games. Moneybags is making Spyro pay all the fines for everyone's indecent exposure by selling him things he needs in the games and cannot avoid. He will normally only do business with characters that wear clothes, with the exception of the Sorceress (to undermine her power) and Spyro due to their immense wealth. This great bear wants to prevent children from seeing explicit nudity and give everyone a better life. Moneybags must also be very powerful because he always gets to places before Spyro does in spite of there being no apparent route before, even complimenting him for getting to a certain point in Aquaria Towers. Although it sounded like a joke, at Crystal Islands, Moneybags says he can turn Spyro into a blue hedgehog. Judging by how he can open up pathways with no effort, this isn't so far fetched.

That makes sense, the amount he charges Spyro keeps going up seeing as Spyro is a repeat offender of public nudity. This raises the question of why Moneybags tolerates Hunter, but maybe Hunter gets a pass for wearing flippers one time, or alluding to wearing running shoes, etc.

![]() Nukpana's Brother is currently going through the same crisis. All he wants to do is regulate commerce and supply currency into Nukpana's goverment. Instead, Token keeps collecting the crystal shards and going about nude. The kindhearted panda just wants to be generous and put an end to Token's crusade. |

I think that Moneybags transfers Hunter's fines to Spyro because the fines go up pretty fast. Either that or Hunter pays his fines when nobody is looking and neither of them mention it.

Moneybags needs a lot of money to establish an economy. He isn't being greedy, everyone else is by not helping him establish his economy. He returned all the money in Spyro 2 because he wanted Spyro to get his bare butt out of Avalar. It would put him out of business. In Spyro 3, Moneybags was weakening and losing his sanity because the Sorceress cast a curse on him. He gave up after Spyro beat all the money out of him because the curse was maintained by the Sorceress' power and took a while after she died to disappear. (He was only an amateur magician by the end instead of his usual master status, drained for the Sorceress' power gain.)
