Good idea on paper but way too easy to be abused.

I really like the idea of wearable tech but too many would use it to creep on others, and government surveillance would be easy as pie with them. Need to iron those kinks out first.

EDIT: Hold up there cowboy. Isn't the whole point of snapchat to send photos and videos to others that will disappear shortly after? So you can't really take photos or videos of others like a creep unless you also intend to send it to others. And odds are a creep wouldn't be interested in such since they wouldn't be able to keep it themselves.

Additionally,

"There is an inward-facing light that turns on when you're snapping, and an outward-facing light that alerts anyone in your field of vision."

While this doesn't exactly do much in the way of preventing people from creeping on folks from the rear (maybe add audio cues, a la 3DS?), there's no way you could catch someone's front side with a light blinking off up front.

It isn't perfect, but it's not like a creep will have much use with it.

Meh.

I'm usually sceptical about things like this. Should be alright I guess, as long as there's something that lets people know if they're being recorded.

But on the other hand, it might become a big problem if people are wearing these glasses in large crowded public areas, especially when people don't have as much privacy (i.e beaches, swimming pools, locker rooms etc).
