Private mode not truly Private?

I've been a user who uses the "Private mode" option almost my entire life, but even so, I keep on realizing my "last online" and "last post" statusses STILL update, making Private mode near USELESS for those that want to remain hidden to cartain people. LIke, some keep on checking when someone is online when they're logged in or when they last posted.

So, my question is: If someone uses Private mode, is it TRULY private, or not? And if not, can it be made Private?

I agree. It's really useless considering you can clearly click on the person's profile. I think they should have an option to block last activity/last post viewing.

I think dark52 just fixed it. A few users I've visited seem to have their "last online/last post" information missing from their profile.

How is someone 'gaining' something by knowing your approximate online status?

I saw it yesterday when I looked at dark's GB, but I figured my computer was just not loading the page all the way.

Oh my god, it feels so weird looking at the blank white space in the middle of the profile! It makes me feel unsatisfied or uneven for some odd reason.

Thanks for that though, Dark.

Knowing an approximate time of when you were last online can give someone a reason to spam you with unwanted PMs or watch you like a hawk when you want privacy. If you're being stalked by a particularly nasty user, this can be a real problem.

Even with the block button that person can still see when you were last around, and use that as a tool to stalk you and possibly contact you elsewhere.

This makes GB's look really unpolished.
