I am getting back into skylanders after 2 years but this time I want to be careful with what I buy. Since most of the time I would usually buy characters back then only if they were rare or was a variant but I would then realize that I don't like the character and then leave it in my bag of skylanders and hardly ever touch it again. But this time I'm only buying characters that I REALLY like it as a toy and in game and there are a few characters from superchargers that I really like but I may never see them again if I wait till after Imaginators is out, so I want to ask this. Should I buy Superchargers to be able to play with the characters that I really like or just buy the toys and wait for Imaginators?

I say play the game. Especially if you find it for cheap.

I would suggest that, even though the game diverges from the usual skylanders experience, it is fun to play and you should get and play it. It will probably be on shelves for a while and the price will continue to drop. I agree, start getting the characters you like now. Have fun.

The characters are amazing, but the game is meh. only get the game if you find it for dirt cheap. keep in mind, you only need the disk, so if you have an old giants, swap, or trap portal, youre good.

Don't get either. Completely skip the game. It will be worth it once Imaginators is released, that way you can save your money for the new characters (And in my opinion TFB does better designs anyway) then buy any Superchargers figures going cheap if you want them.

This game is fun at first. Why not get it on clearance if you can? Imaginators will be out soon enough hopefully before you hate SC for its terrible after-game content. Check Gamestop for used figures.

You'll ALWAYS be able to get starters....get the figures asap as if your life depends on it if you want them. People realized by snoozing on the later waves you will miss out. No risk with wave 1/2, but later waves get dicey.

I would suggest buy spitfire since he's amazing and then don't buy anyone else, but he's only in the starter pack....

Actually, he's also available in single pack, but it was scarce.

Aside from Thrillipede, of course, all the Superchargers characters were plentifully available just about everywhere around here and online. You should be able to get them all for less than $10 now at most retailers, and definitely be on the lookout for discounts. There are frequent B1G1 (or even B1G2). GameStop currently has the B1G1 going on this week for all Superchargers characters and vehicles, for example.

And the game disc itself shouldn't be more than $10 either. I actually see it at GameStop for just $5.

EDIT: I actually believe you can purchase the game and every single character (excluding vehicles) for around $150 at this point.

You cannot buy one without the other . It will cut your fun in half .
