So, I felt like it was wrong that I had never attempted to draw Luminous, the Light Element Doom Raider before, especially since hes my favorite character of all time, so I thought now would be a good time, and heres what it turned out like!

[User Posted Image]

I'm actually pretty proud of this drawing, considering it was my first time.

Anyway, heres the speed draw video of me drawing him smilie (Don't comment on how many times I had to do the right arm smilie)

And as a bonus, heres evolved Luminous smilie

It's all looking good! The lines could use a little more neatness and precision, but I love how you shade in depth. It gives your artworks a sense of being 3D and quite animated. Keep up the good work, and I will keep up with the feedback. smilie

Thank you so much! I'm aware of my messy lines smilie I have a very shaky hand, but I try. Thanks! I wasn't originally planning too, then I remembered I used to use an editor for shading, so I decided to go back and use it. It's very helpful, and free! smilie

Anyway, I did another one, whos weapon was a pain in the butt, but still decent I think imo.

I was originally only planning on doing my favorites, but I guess I'll do a few which I decently like, and/or really want to draw.

Heres the planned list

Ambush
Tae Kwon Crow
Ember

Heres four new ones I forgot to show!

Ambush

Barbella (Another unplanned one. Drawn for Deja Vu)

Tae Kwon Crow

Ember

I feel like the best ones out of these four are Barbella and Ambush. Tae Kwon Crow took a really really long time, didn't turn out so great in the end imo, and Ember is... well, Ember, with her messed up weapon with my shaky hand, but I still like the fiery glow for her, but Barbella and Ambush are probably still better.

EDIT: I edited Barbella a bit because apparently my eye sight is really bad with clear pictures of her toy form... anyway, apparently those were her shoulder guards and I'm blind, but anyway. Looks better now.

Hey there! Just wanted to say, your art's pretty nice! It is really lively, and trust me, I'm a sucker for colored lineart. smilie I don't know if you use a tablet or mouse, but in my experience as an inherently shaky-handed tablet user, drawing a line very quickly (and I mean VERY quickly) tends to help smooth it out! Along with that, I know of a few art programs that have built-in corrections that will help smooth out the lines, like Paint Tool Sai or FireAlpaca/MediBang if you're cheap like me and want a free program. Overall, keep up the good work!

Thanks! (late response I know) I use a mouse. I tried drawing a line very quickly most recently and it didn't go well... smilie Thanks for the suggestions! Heres some new art.

I'm doing some new stuff! While waiting for the rest of the full body poses, I'll be doing some custom skylanders, imaginators, and traced art of characters I don't want to draw smilie

Heres a custom character, Nova!

[User Posted Image]

An Imaginator, Abomination, who is a Water Knight!

[User Posted Image]

Two more custom characters, Flash and Mallows (I have no idea what I was doing with these but meh)

[User Posted Image] [User Posted Image]

And heres some traced characters; King Pen, Tri-Tip, and Luminous (because I need to him in all his beauty)

No speed draws except for Nova and Abomination, incase things went wrong. And who needs to see speed traces pff.

After being lazy for like... what... a month? I've finally started drawing again. With the newly revealed full body poses of Starcast, Aurora, Mysticat, etc. I'll be drawing them all soon. I forgot to actually post these two I did a while ago, which are traces of Air Strike and Boom Bloom. Since Air Strike now has a full body pose, I will be DRAWING him in all his glory, but I have to wait for Boom Bloom.

Looking pretty decent so far. Your lines are a little shaky, but that's already been pointed out and that really just takes practice to fix.

As for critique: Keep working on your anatomy and proportions. That's really the only issues I see with your art other than some tiny, tiny shading and positioning issues (which can be easily fixed with more practice). Try to imagine where the joints and bones of your characters are and how they bend. Also, I noticed that some aspects of your drawings are out of proportion, especially the limbs. Again, this is something that really just takes practice in training your eyes to easily estimate sizes.

They really do look great so far. I like love Starcast. Just work on those things I mentioned and always use references. Not just the Skylander's artwork, but other photos as well. This can really help with angles and shading.

Keep it up!
