No more working at a ****ty, fast food place making minimum wage. I'm starting a new job at Honda Manufacturing and will be making almost double what I was. My boss tried to talk me out of it, saying I can either go there for the money, or stay at A&W and have a "real" career. Real. Career. Pfft, my ass. At least now if I can any asshole customers, it won't matter when I tell them how it is and where they can take their business.

Yeah. Fast Food is a good place to get your foot in the door. But that's about it. I'm trying to get into Admin. McDonalds is good money, but it's getting too stressful.

I got a job at a fast food restaurant, didn't like it, and quit first day. It was really dirty and messy, and all the staff were in their 40-50s so I felt like I'd stick right out.

Congratulations. Your boss was probably trying to convince you to stay in the family so that you could someday be a manager, but even then you wouldn't be making as much as you would at Honda.

Fast food is definitely great for getting your foot in the door, but I'm hoping to skip that part and start with working at Ascena when I'm 18 instead (my afternoon networking class this year is at a separate school in a town fifteen minutes away from my school and it happens to be attached to Ascena and my classroom conveniently happens to be right next to the entrance to Ascena, haha). My friend started working there for pretty darn good money with no previous work experience so I'm hoping I can too in September. Plus, I get off early (at 2 PM) so I can work some good hours on school days without having it cut into my sleep too much.
