At a wildlife show in Alice Springs Desert Park, a wedge-tailed eagle latched on to a small boy's head and tried to carry him away. Fortunately, the boy sustained no major injuries, and park staff successfully ended the show shortly afterward.

If this happened in America, that eagle would've been shot.

I'm sure the toddler's parents would love to hear that.

Not seeing how that's karma. Crocs and Gators kill people all the time. People seriously need to stop going near the ****ing water...

From the way the article put it, it doesn't seem like the kid was doing anything wrong.

if him playing with his zipper was loud enough to distract the eagle i would imagine someone probably told him to stop
or should have anyway

Are you.... Are you guys serious right now? This is a child. A human child, someone's son. I don't expect anyone to ever put an animal life above a human's. Yeah I'm glad the Eagle didn't get hurt, but I'm also glad the child didn't get hurt worse than he did?

I've been a vegetarian for over 10 years, I volunteer at my local no kill shelter, I volunteer at my local nature center, I absolutely love any and all animals. But with that said if it was an animal or my child, there would be absolutely no hesitation in what I would want the outcome to be.

Very easy to judge a situation in which you've never been, innit?

ok u got me
half-joking

the kid was fine, it's not like he got his face ripped off and then i outright say it's entirely his fault. i'm just saying he shouldn't have been doing it anyway since it's disrespectful to the show and the people around him. but i get it. he's a kid.

Have you been to Alice Springs? aka Wind City. Nobody is going to hear a kid playing with his ****ing zipper.

Jokes about how Americans can't aim aside. Asking somebody to shoot at a small target that has latched onto a small target, both of which are thrashing about in a chaotic manner, has a 50/50 chance of ending in tears.

lol I meant we would've tried to kill or capture it, I didn't mean the eagle would literally be shot
