So i found out that my art was featured in an Non-Spyro Forum... One thing that bother me people think Skylanders is a Crossover.

Yes, i know about the Guest Stars and all, but those started in SuperChargers. So why people thinks it's a crossover when it's not?

Spyro is part of the Skylanders Universe now. How many times people don't understand that It's a Reboot to the Spyro series.

Spyro is a guest star in the games is one big misconception Spyro does come from another world in his backstory, but still being part of that same universe. But we are talking about the Franchise itself, let's keep the Spyro thing at minimum before the thread derails itself.

It can be considered a crossover, since licensed characters from other game franchises appear in the games as playable guest-stars. In the Skylanders universe, all worlds are connected to Skylands, since it is the very center of the universe. Those worlds includes Bowser, Crash, Spyro and Donkey Kong's world. It IS a crossover at this point.

It quite works as a crossover, but, if I'm not wrong, Activision itself already said that Skylanders and Spyro are unrelated franchises, and he's there for... Well... Marketing, I think...

I still consider it the current form of the Spyro franchise that just evolved into it's own thing. It's technically Spyro until he gets his own games ever again...

It's not really a crossover game, DK, Bowser, and Crash sorta just jumped into the universe... I wouldn't call it a Smash Bros. type game since so far there's only been 3 guest stars.
