Just curious who out there actually has all 300. I'm having to resort to eBay for the last 20 or so cards, as I really don't want to be buying dozens of boosters and "hope" I get what I need.

How many of the 300 are "variants"?

"Variants"? These cards are for the next expansion, actually. For now it's silver and gold holograms of existing cards(which just have max level when you scan them), you can have all 300 with just the regular stuff.

Pretty sure a few users here have had enough time from trading and boosters to have almost everything if not all.

No doubt, I built a good majority of my digital cards just playing every day etc, but I'd love to know who has all 300 physical cards and their opinion of the difficulty. I'm finding you'll have DOZENS of common cards before you get near to the goal if you do all retail.

Just to clarify there are only 270 physical cards in the base set.

You're naturally going to have more Commons if you buy retail because each Booster Pack contains 5 Commons, 2 Rares, and 1 Epic/Ultimate.

After my initial purchase and a few trades I'm only missing 19 physical cards from the base set.

So I'm not at 300 (or 270 yet) but I know a handful of people who are.

Initial Purchase....how many and what types of packs work better? I've spent $200 in cards and I don't feel like I've scratched the surface.

My initial purchase was:

1 Battlecast Starter Pack
- 2 Battle Packs
- 9 Booster Packs
- 1 Card Case

1 Booster Master Box
- 36 Booster Packs

To my knowledge, both of these are Amazon exclusives, but in reality I think it's just a way for Amazon to sell more packs at once.

Since Booster Packs are $5 for 8 cards and Battle Packs are $10 for 22 cards, a lot of people will say that the Battle Packs are a better deal. But there are 6 guaranteed cards in each Battle Pack so that brings your total on random cards down to 16. This is then equal to two Booster Packs and the same 5/2/1 split (mentioned in my first post) applies here as well.

So if you want to collect a ton of the guaranteed cards you could keep buying the Battle Packs, but people who have purchase a lot more packs than I have claim that they've been able to find more Ultimates and Foils (variants) in the Booster Packs.

Personally, I don't plan on buying anything but Booster Packs from here on out.

Thanks! I've bought two of the "Starter Packs" and I took advantage of the TRU sale when they were BOGO (so I got 4 starter packs and 2 booster packs). I was considering the 36 pack amazon exclusive for the same reasons you mention. It's irritating to have 5x Hex, Spyro etc. so I'll just take your advice and stick to Boosters.

I have 277, so 23 more to go. Although I do have:

10 rare tickets (I have 1 common and 2 rares left to collect)
6 epic tickets (9 epics to collect)
3 ultimate tickets (11 more to collect)

Have 300, last one I got was Arkeyan Battle Armor. never got that one in all my virtual or physical packs, which is saying something.
