One can only hope, but one mascot at a time. You don't bring back a franchise with just old games, if you catch my drift.

I really hope they do. I'm so mad that Crash gets one but not Spyro.
Tbh I doubt it will though as Skylanders gets them more money than a remake probably would.

My dream situation:

> Crash remasters are a success
> Activision make one last Skylanders game (and make it the very best they can).
> The Spyro franchise is resurrected, starting with remasters and possibly a reboot.

But TBH, I wouldn't mind Skylanders continuing either. I think I underestimate how much I'll miss this series when it's gone.

I meant we'll see the results of Crash remasters' sucess on Crash before it reflects on Spyro.

Crash is in a bit of a different situation than Spyro. Aside from some mobile games hardly anyone remembers, his last big appearance was in 2008 (and MoM didn't even sell that badly, I don't think), so he's been gone for eight years. Spyro, and elements of both the classic and Legend series (Cynder and Malefor for Legend, the design of Sparx and later gameplay style for classic) have been used throughout Skylanders, so he's not inactive. Heck, he's a main character in the comic and Battlecast, and will be one in the animated series, right?

Still, it's not as if I wouldn't want to see one. Maybe give it until Spyro's 20th to see if interest is there.

I feel like it's wrong that Spyro is still not getting good treatment even when they bring Crash back in a good way. Like, I was at least hoping some Classic Spyro characters would eventually come into the series along with redesigning Spyro so he looks a more normal again...

Well, since Insomniac is being more experimental these days (Spider-man PS4, VR games), I would not mind at all if Insomniac remade the original 3 Spyro games or even a completely original Spyro game. I wouldn't mind Vicarious Visions either.

I dont think Spyro will get a remake because Crash came first, and is more popular.

I hope they do.

Technically HD ports of the Spyro games are on PSN.

Probably in 2018 but it'll just be the PS1 originals done up a bit for PS4 with trophy support and use of the share function. I hope they include the additional music added for the US re-release of Spyro 3.

If not 2018, I'd like to see some sort of Spyro remake/reboot in 2023.

If you really want to show Activision it's worth their while buy the Crash remakes. <.<

I would be intrigued if the classic Spyro games were remade with a Skylander-esque theme. But the main character is still Spyro, but he looks like his modern Skylander-self. But you can't switch out characters because it's a remake of the old ones, but the graphical style of the games can be influenced by Skylanders.
