Crash Bandicoot Arrives in Skylands!

Confirming the rumours, at Sony's E3 press conference it was revealed that Crash Bandicoot is indeed coming to Skylanders Imaginators.

As for the game's lore for why he's here:

A wormhole has opened in Skylands and the great Aku Aku appears! He has come to announce the once-in-two-decades Synchronization Celebration--a time when all of the worlds align perfectly. All the inhabitants of Wumpa Island are having a party and they want to invite the Skylanders. But with Kaos on a quest to take over Skylands using his army of Doomlanders, the Skylanders must focus on stopping his evil plans. Never one to shy away from danger, the legendary marsupial Crash Bandicoot leaps through the wormhole to join the Skylanders in the ultimate battle against Kaos!

He will be available in special PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 Starter Packs but the character will be playable on all consoles, he will not be restricted like Bowser and Donkey Kong last year.


And that's not all for the long dormant character, they'll also be remastering the first three PS1 Crash Bandicoot games for PS4.

So, will the Crash character be only useable on the PS4 version, or will he work on the other versions as well?

This design for Crash looks...pretty decent actually. Not really good, just decent.

The figure itself will be a PS4 exclusive, but he'll be compatible with all versions of the game.

It's a timed exclusive, meaning he will be exclusive to the sony pack at launch but will be made available most likely in the 2nd or 3rd wave. Why would they make him playable on all platforms only to make him exclusive in a starter pack for Sony which they have never done with a base Skylander before....Come on people use your brains.

Subjective. Again, he's a guest star, not supposed to change. He has a bigger head and more fur but that's just adapting to the style.

There will be no core Skylanders this year, only sensei's. Not sure if the Crash edition is exclusive to TRU, but I would bet my bottom dollar and say no.

It's the only one who skylanders.com lists for preordering the crash edition but I hope not. Depends on what comes with the crash edition. But I'm really going to have to consider what console I'm getting it on. Now that the Xbox one S will upconvert games to 4K and I DO have a 4K tv I may be switching from the PS4 to Xbox one (something I didn't think was going to happen.) but originally I was going to get the Wii U edition standard and the PS4 dark edition. I hope the Neo does the upconverting of video games to 4K as well and that they announce it soon.

Well if those remasters get the same treatment as Ratchet & Clank (2016) without the issue of being a movie tie-in game then I think a lot of folks might be interested...

Now wait for people to start bothering poor Insomniac about remastering Spyro 1-3. Guys, just let them make a SCHPIDA-MAN game for Pete's sake. <.<;

Oh ok. I didn't know what guest stars are in Skylanders as I haven't played it since Swap Force and I hardly ever go on the Skylanders side of this website. smilie

when it comes to the crash edition, I hope that it includes Crash and Golden Queen instead of Crash and King Pen

I'm pretty sure talk of hacking is not allowed on this site. Besides, I don't even think there is a way to do it, I wouldn't think there's any code in the XB or PS versions of Bowser and DK to begin with.
I have no idea what the correct term is lol

Sure, but you'll need some supplies. Jut follow these instructions.


Step 1: Buy a Wii U

Step 2: Buy the Wii U version of Superchargers

Step 3: Place Bowser and DK on the portal after hooking it up to your Wii U while it is playing the Wii U version of Superchargers.


Congratulations! You now have successfully gotten DK and Bowser to work!
