What does it mean to be manly?
There's a common theme with all these men who think they believe IS manly and what's not... They're insecure with their masculinity and panic trying to prove that they're real men by doing or saying stupid things, getting angry when being called out for their behavior, hate talking to women as equals, taking up responsibility, mocking anyone crying or for being empathetic towards others, calling other men gay, but most of all trying to overcompensate.
The kids today (like my brothers) who love Charlie Sheen in Two & A Half-Men (and nothing else because they're ignorant towards Charlie's earlier career when it was better). The show is about nothing but Charlie having sex with females prostitutes. Boys think that's awesome but it comes off as desperate.
Douchebags (or dudebros) like PC Principal or everyone from Jersey Shore are neanderthals who try to act all macho, showing off their muscles while posting pouting-selfies on Instagram. It's all childish. And their fashion sense is very tacky.
The kind of gamers think JRPGs are gay for having effeminate males while jerking off to Sam Worthington's boring face and anything with American military in it, whether these gamers are 13-years-old or fat neckbearded fellas. They love boring dreary mute terrain and hate colour.
Men should not be afraid to cry and should be comfortable with who they are... but they're not. They're either in armoured closets or they're just assholes.
