why does acti keep the rights for spyro? they obviously forgot him and cynder. shouldn't they sell the rights to people who APPRECIATE spyro? they are bull****ting us. they should even give the rights free.briing back our purple hero!
PS: to PS3 owners- you can go ahead and purchase spyro 1-3 through PS STORE. cheap and nostalgic.

Ah yes that's how the game industry works. I've been reading it all wrong all this time that IPs can't be made public domain just because someone said so.

Honestly, I am still a little (a lot) bitter about this, but what can we do? Why would Acti listen to a bunch of old fans who can't let go of the past, especially when their Skylanders games gives them craploads of money? Sigh, it's a shame, but as Bifrost said ... that's sadly how things work.
Spyro deserves so much more than being in a roster of .. is it 150+ Skylanders now?
I wouldn't mind Skylanders if they never added Spyro into it, but yeah, can't do anything about it now.. >.<
It would be nice if they made an actual Spyro game alongside the Skylanders games, so that he could be in both franchises simultaneously, to keep the original fans happy... but I doubt they will do that so I won't keep my hopes up.

What about Crash though? They've had the rights to him for years now and have done nothing with him. They even cancelled the game Crash Landed in favour of Prototype 2. Thanks Acti, it looked like such a neat game too.

Acti is just going to do whatever they want because nothing's stopping them. They could sit on the IPs for decades straight and not ever feel the wasted money because everything they do sells enough most of the time. Trying to boycoot Skylanders or whatever isn't going to help either, they'll just shove Spyro on the shelf again and forget about it. So unfortunately, either you go with the flow playing the game if you want to or don't, or stay in the past only reminiscing or fighting with people over things that can't be helped.

This is really ****ing stupid. I love Spyro, it was one of the first video games I played when I was old enough to actually understand it. But it's been years, and people still obsess over this crap? It's not as if Spyro was getting any new games anytime soon (i never really liked anything post classic spyro era anyways but thats my opinion haha), and whenever I did play Skylanders, I liked it, and I still do. With the Skylander comics they're doing more with Spyro than I expected, but in the end it's just a ****ing video game character who's real video game series has been dead for years now so this is the best we can get, and it honestly isn't that bad. Skylanders is hugely successful, they're not gonna stop it because some whiny kids can't get a hold of reality. Like you said, if you love the older games so much you can still play them :/
