Who else reckons there needs to be an option to like/thumbs up comments, topics and posts? Just a Like/Thumbs Up button, no dislike/thumbs down button, we don't want too much drama. Just a thought. Dark might add it in the future who knows.

Hmm, it could be an interesting addition, but I doubt dark will add it. It just isn't that necessary? But, that being said, I wouldn't mind seeing it.

Haha, really? I've never been on a forum that has it.
You know what? I probably don't want to see one. >.< |

I don't necessarily believe this is a good idea. Though I think it's a good option to stop those comments like: "I agree" and "Same" that take up pages.
Implementing this can influence harassment, abuse of the feature and bias. Popular users would be treated with more likes, while newer users could be dismissed. This could cause people to change (use other gimmicks or stir up) their behaviour. This negative effect can also make people feel unwelcome. Harassment could consist of vendettas between users that make fun of certain users considering how many likes they have (patronise and make them feel superior). Examples could be during an argument, person 1 gets more likes than person 2. Person 1 believes they are automatically right and makes person 2 feel inferior. These are just my opinions. Though I have been on websites that do use this, they seem to be doing fine. Then again, they are more quieter than darkSpyro. |
