I hope there are some good deals as my Gamestops have the last few I need. Oh btw I'm back since Disney Infinity is soon ending, I caught up really quick thanks to Amazon's amazing prices and Target's Cartwheel app.

Since when do Game Stores reveal new games? It's generally the producers that do that.

He/she is thinking that the game will get announced between now and this event, so one can preorder during this event.

Well, I do remember seeing SuperChargers signs in Gamestop saying it was available for pre-order the week after it was announced. If Skylanders 6 is announced this week, which it probably will be, then I could see it possibly being Skylanders 6 oriented. Plus, why wouldn't they reveal what the sales event is for if it was just something for SuperChargers? It would be dumb, since they are not telling Skylanders players their sales and deals.

I predict they will have another superchargers sale with nothing in stock at the stores.....

I never seen the Land Racing Action Pack at any Gamestop location, nor on their website. At this point, it seems like I won't be getting it unless I want to pay a hefty price to someone on Ebay... Though to be fair, I haven't seen this pack at Wal-Mart, Best Buy, or any other retailer either. Is it just abnormally rare, forever out of stock, or something perhaps?

Amazon sells it for retail value so it isn't truly rare imo.

And Skylanders Weekend is essentially everything related to Superchargers being 50% off. Which I'm fine with; I can pick up the last few characters/vehicles that I've been holding out on.

The land racing pack was up on gamestop's website yesterday with the pickup in store feature available.

Would be better to go to toys r us with buy one get two free or go to gamestop for this instead?

Well, unless you want multiple of both vehicles and superchargers, don't go to TRU. Their B1G2 free sale applies only to groups of Skylanders that are the same price (IE: Buy a Vehicle, can get two others ree).

You will have ample time to get in a pre-order. I would wait anyways to see what kind of deals shake out, it isn't like one is going to be hard to come by. I wouldn't pre-order until at least a couple weeks prior to release so you know where the best deals will be if you are going to get it Day 1. The only *possible* exception is if you want a Dark edition, as they were plentiful last year but they may have adjusted numbers for that. If it is Gamestop only, then pre-order away as they will not have Day 1 Starter deals, that's how Gamestop rolls.

Gamestop also has the Book of Kaos avaliable with preorders. I'll gladly accept donations of it--- I mean it's a good read from what I saw in previews and it's similar to the Books of Elements, with short trivia about the characters that you wouldn't see elsewhere.

Yeah, but I'm sure they will have plenty of them, so no rush to pre-order to get that.

I'm not a fan of long in advance pre-orders, personally. This game will not be hard to come by, and it sends a signal to the stores that they do not need to "sweeten" the deal and you are willing to buy it for full MSRP.

Also... It'd be nice to know 100% what's in the bundles. Has it been set in stone what figures are coming in the WiiU Dark Starter?

Yes, I've seen images of the figures (don't think it is a Photoshop). Dark King Pen, Dark Golden Queen and Dark Wolfgang and three crystals (Dark, Life & Fire).

I don't think it's a photoshop, but it could be a placeholder - wasn't it confirmed that there would be "Guest Stars" this game?

Although, I suppose, they could just pack and sell Crash outside of a bundle. ;)

I saw it once in a gamestop abt 3 weeks ago and i actually picked it up 5 days ago at target because I was unable to find it at toysrus and figured I might as well get it before its gone. Amazon also has them. I avoid amazon cause i figured wed have another sale soon. Hopefully i can find it at gamestop again tomorrow for the 50% off as ive yet to open the target one.

It's online too...just picked up everything I was missing (except thrillipede) on sale. This includes the land racing pack!

A guy at my local Gamestop was kind enough to save one of the Land packs for me, even for today, as I called yesterday! Hopefully he holds true to his word when I go there in a couple hours around opening time.

My local store still didn't have the Land Racing Pack, nor did they get Trillipede/Buzz Wing in...

Oh well, still pick up the remaining characters/vehicles we needed and got one of three Kaos books they had.
