A majority of it is just art from Strata, but looks like a nice read.

High Volt also started out as Light! Much better choice than Astroblast imho, not to mention the guy who writes Upgrades didn't even bother to remove the light puns.

I know, I'm reading their character design pillars, "gender balance" is one.
It's also really weird that freaky fish guy(girl at some point) is both Punk Shock and Riptide in an earlier phase. Wash Buckler too somehow. Rip Tide is going to get one huge wiki section should we ever get a video of this panel.

If my memory serves me correctly, I remember Mr. Phillips saying that he preferred making organic characters rather than mechanical characters during a Twitch stream. Strange, considering the amount of bots stuffed into both SF and Superchargers. I don't have the playback as evidence, unfortunately. At the moment. I stumbled upon this, hopefully I can stumble upon that.

And here I am, looking again at the wasted potential of V.V.'s concept arts.
I wonder the exact moment when they thought "better make all our Gimmicklanders dressed or armored humanoid animals/beings, for the sake of variety!".

I'm sincerely hoping for that Water stone dragon to appear in a future game, possibly along one of those cute jokes of nature on one of the SWAP Force's prototype slides.

Pretty sure High Volt's Light form was already shown (maybe in one of those Skylanders/vehicles-oriented videos): his fully upgraded for makes him look like a perfect Light character.
And I hate it...

Shapeshifters was the working name for Swap Force, iirc.

Right, glad they decided to go with swapping only the tops & bottoms, and not heads, torsos and legs; just think of all those lost heads...
