Q: At what age in your life did you feel like you needed a girlfriend/boyfriend? If you don't have or don't what a girlfriend/boyfriend, then at what age would you think would be appropriate?

Around 15 for me.

There was never a time in my life where I felt I NEEDED to be in a relationship. People who get bfs/gfs just for the sake of bfs/gfs have problems, especially if they force themselves into having an abusive relationship.

I was very open to having a boyfriend when I was really young (from elementary school to sixth grade) and then from seventh grade to eighth grade (age 13 to 14) I stopped looking but was still open to the idea. From freshman year of high school to now I realized that I'm not interested in sex at all and am also not at the moment open to a romantic relationship. It's probably because I haven't met the right person, but I'm fine with being single at the moment since I'm not really willing to commit myself to a romantic relationship while I'm busy with school and just trying to build a good foundation for my future. Dunno if that'll change later on or not. I guess I'm a loner. I don't crave someone else's touch or their romantic affection. I just like hanging out with friends, lol.

But for the age I think it's appropriate to start getting involved in romantic relationships... Eh, I'd say around high school years (15 to 18) maybe. I'm not a stickler on that though. I don't really care, honestly. But I do agree that people who feel they have to have a significant other have problems.

I was p interested in having a relationship when I was around 13, but now idgaf. It's not really a matter of age, as much as "if by some miracle I meet someone who actually sees me that way then maybe." I haven't felt any sort of romantic feelings since I was like 15, so I don't really have any interest in dating.

Around 12 or 13, I can't remember.

14, lol. Grew out of that the next year, then now I'm kinda the same way just not as extreme. There is this really cute girl in my Bio class and we once talked for ages about Transformers and bad comic book art. Seems like a nice person to hang out with

'Needed' isn't the right word, but I became more aware of relationships when I was 14.

I think I was like 10 when I properly thought that I wanted a boyfriend (14 when I was also open to having a girlfriend)? Like it sounds young but I've almost always been romantically interested in people for some reason. It took 6 years though before I got into my first (and current) relationship It was well worth the wait though.
