I've been seeing a gray shadow watching over me, stuff falling down on its own, and walking figures. I've been hearing footsteps without people being there, pots and pans moving, ect. I'm really freaked out... My bestie Rin is over and we'll be hinting the ghost later. We'll update what we find.

WE both saw the ghost, couldn't catch it on camera tho, so we stayed upstairs. WE DID NOT DIE!

I'm assuming you guys aren't making this up for fun, but a few years back I had a few bad experiences with something similar. I had two instances where I woke up not being able to breathe, seeing this black, human shaped shadow standing over me, choking me. It made this demonic growling sound, I don't even know what to compare it too, nothing in horror movies came close to it. Both times when I looked up at it's face, I saw these faint red eyes and then it very slowly faded away and was gone. I sat up and didn't move for God knows how long. The first time I thought it was a dream, that was until I noticed the marking on my neck. The second time was shortly after that. I had no idea what it was, so I googled it and found images that looked almost identical to what I saw. On the internet they are called Shadow People and aren't a spirit or a ghost, but a poltergeist, which is caused by negative energy, rather than a ghostly presence. It can cause the stuff you've been experiencing. I'm not sure if that is what you saw, but try looking them up and see if that's it or not. Not trying to sound crazy, just trying to help, not that I expect people on here to believe a thing I say.

I looked at it twice, both times it was staring at me with glowing yellow eyes. It was bigger than my shadow by my computer, and it was gray. It looked like it was wearing a hat maybe.

1) For about 2 seconds the first and second time, then it disappeared.
2) Not that I know of.
3) Pots and pans clanging, Footsteps without anyone being there, and weird shadows.

Queen Vanessa from Indie game A Hat in Time looks in appearance and is from your descriptions, possibly a Shadow Person.

And back on topic, I am really sorry to hear about what is going on and what has happened guys.

If you don't get rid of it soon it's gonna trash your garden, make your mum sick and injure your dad, to try and chase you out of the house. Cause it's a dirty hobo spirit.

Alright, so we've narrowed it down to probably not a demon. Which is pretty good, don't get me wrong. Just let me know if anyone gets possessed and dies.
Because Eevee said that it can rattle pots and pans and make footsteps, it's more likely to be a poltergeist than a ghost. Literally translated from German, poltergeist means "noisy spirit", and appear due to large amounts of stress in an area. It's more of a psychic event than a spiritual one. Someone who's stressed or angry generates enough telekinetic activity to call a poltergeist, which basically "haunts" the area.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. Once the stress passes, they generally fade away on their own, but it may take a couple months.

Welp, I get q lot of stress from m cousin, so I will have it for awhile? Now that i mention it, it did feel colder... no smell though.

Perhaps it's not one entity of sorts, but instead 2. As strider said, it's most likely a poltergeist BUT earlier eevee mentioned a hat wearing shadow which is very common among shadow people.
So while they saw the shadow person, they also have a poltergeist as well.

Perhaps the fear you felt while looking for the poltergeist attracted a different spirit of some kind?

Maybe to both of these.
My poltergeist knowledge is extremely rusty, but my ghost and demon knowledge is great.
It just doesn't check all the boxes for ghost and definitely isn't a demon so...

Also I read somewhere that ghost and poltergeist don't actually know they are dead and that they can't see us, but can feel our presence. (Basically to them we are the ghosts)

Shadow people however aren't really dead for all they know, most theories is that they watch us from a different dimension and occasionally cross over to ours to kinda see how things are going. But hey that's just a theory, a GHOST theory! *shot over for becoming matpat for a moment*

Shadow people have a mixed reputation. I hear some are sinister and some are extremely kind and benevolent. I've never met one and would rather not meet one. If I do I hope to God its the friendly kind!

When you think about it, all Spirits, Demons or not, seem to have a problem.

They seem to think it's okay to, in general, act "creepy" around us, thinking there will be no reprecussions for any of it.

idk about you, but that annoys me. I don't care whether your a ghost or not, you're still Human and as such you can still act decent around others.

Not talking about Demons here for obvious reasons of course, cause screw those guys.

Wouldn't go as far as demons. Spyroboy described what's pretty much a night terror - in a nutshell, your brain telling you to go **** yourself. It was attributed to demons in the past but usually it's like the crazy version of a nightmare that pretends to wake you up, but even with eyes open you're as good as asleep.

I'm not even making it up, I had it before. I saw some shadowy figure just destroy my windows from the outside and I could just watch, but I jolted awake as soon as I got free from the night terror and back in place it was. Psychologist was confused too since it's common for children or people with traumas but I was a tween just starting to get bad with anxiety. Never had that again and god I hope I never do.

Ah, well my Religious Studies teacher used to go banish bad spirits/demons from people's houses.
