Eh, I don't sign petitions. I honestly can't figure out why people bother.

Signing a (And I'm going to be really honest here, with no intentions to insult anyone, but...) stupid paper, or computer equivalant, is not going to do anything.

No one will notice, no one will care.

It's all a waste of time in my eyes.

Self-fulfilling prophecy. A petition without enough signatures fails. Enough people saying it'll fail and avoiding it makes it so.

But really, even if a petition gets, like...

a thousand signatures, what is it going to do?

A thousand is too little. A million can be ignored. But more than that...?

Operation Rainfall comes to mind,but I don't think it was a petition,just a twitter campaign. There was also the whole stuff to stop(actually just slow down) SOPA.
