I've been playing Skylanders since 2011 up until trao team on the wii (got an xbone and new 3ds now but don't have Skylanders on those). And I'm interested in getting warhammer to paint the figures but also play the game. And I'm wondering if there's anyone who just buys the figures for display or painting purposes? Because I'm thinking of painting some of my old Skylanders I don't really use because I can't go from Xbox one graphics back to wii graphics. I'm thinking of using some citidel paint to paint them? Any recommendations?

haven't played the game since giants. only buy the figures now. fun to have them on display.

I bought them 3 months before I got my first game in early 2013. (Giants)
I value the figures a lot and they're still one of my favorite things in the games.

Where is the fun in that ? Thats part of the magic .

I have plenty of other toys that dont interact with games .

game's not fun or affordable for everyone. some just like cool figures.

I just only buy the figures, i have never played the games. I still want to play the game, but i don't have money to buy the starter pack and/or the console for that...

Until Trap Team, I barely took the time to play each toy, I only had 2 or 3 maxed characters. Now I fully max every toy I buy, it is more fun.

I only buy the figures because there's always a new game every year, so I could wait to buy the next game. I also don't like the gimmicks of Trap Team and Superchargers, so I'll just keep waiting until there's a game where I'll like the gimmick. I did buy the Superchargers starter pack, but only because it was on sale, but I ended up selling the game on ebay.

I don't collect just the figure's, tey are the reason I'm into the series and they are my favorite part of the game. If they had made it as just a normal game, I probably wouldn't be interested in the series.

Odd. Personally I find the brand new stand alone toys to be rather pricey . I could buy a DVD series or a pink castle set for the same price as a Trap Master toy .

That said i have found one or two unbelievable skylander toy bargains but those dont happen often .

Its the combination of both skylander games and toys that keep me buying . I would not buy one without the other .

I am a toy fan . You will always find me in the toy section . When Skylanders first came out I did not think very much of the wierd little monsters and figures from a toy perspective alone .

it's different for all. this one doesn't enjoy the games and doesn't collect that many of the figures (mostly buy them used).
