Every 24 hours, the shop will display 3 new cards for players to purchase. There is a specific pattern during each rotation with the left cards being neutral cards, middle being elemental/character common cards and the right being rare or above elemental/character cards.

This thread is just to provide you guys an update as well as let you guys discuss whether or not those featured cards are worth the purchase or not.

I'll also try to disclose my opinion on each rotation so feel free to pitch in your perspectives!

Rare or above? Have any Ultimates showed up yet, then?

As of yet no. I've only encountered three Rare skylanders including, Crusher, Roller Brawl + Food Fight. There was also 2 epics costing around 750 including Dust Devil & Cobalt Cornerstone. Whether or not Ultimate Skylanders or other similar rarity cards are included are beyond me at this moment.

Well, not playing the game I can't give much of an opinion on the cards' usefulness in a strategy in the long run, but hey making discussion is important. What makes Anvilite so useless? It's an attacking move that can be used straight off the bat, and possibly a way to quickly rank up someone - and if you have a deck with Jawbreaker or Ninjini it's essential that you get to Rank 2 as fast as possible.

I believe Anvilite is one of the starting neutral cards you get from completing the tutorial. It puzzles me why they even bother reserving a slot of neutral cards we own considering how there is very few neutral cards to purchase left.

My opinion on Anvilite in this sense is that its not worth any value purchasing unless you really want that Gold Version. However, the issue is that the iOS and Android seem to have two different stories. Any card I already own on the Android version is unavailable as you can see in the screenshot. As for iOS, you can still repeat the purchase to level them up, at least on my end.

But anyway, yes Anvilite in terms of gameplay is not all that bad as you mentioned. It makes a good combo card for the Magic Elemental spell such as Rippling Pulse to deal 40 to all enemies while giving you a quicker head start in leveling up during combat.

Oh, I get it. Well, another weird bug between versions, the more things that are found the more obvious it is this game isn't actually ready for launch in Skylanders standards(most mobile games' standards,yes, but all other 3 mobile Skylanders games came out done(Battlegrounds stretches that defintion with just 2 bosses))

Have been comparing with another friend every day to know if they were the same. I forgot to write down 4 values if anyone has those. The OP mentioned Crusher, maybe that was one of them.

Also, one mistake some folks are doing....the prices reflect not only their rarities but if you have them.

A card will cost less money to upgrade its level than to buy so for example, if you had Food Fight today for 500 coins, that price reflects the price to buy it outright

If you already had it, its cost would be for example, 75 coins to level it to 4. The price will vary depending on its level. Personally I think spending coins to upgrade levels on cards is a waste of money so if you do not pay attention, you could be just upgrading a card instead of thinking you are buying it new.

If you have the card sufficiently leveled, it will say unavailable.

Well that certainly clears up every missing info. So the starting 30 neutral cards from tutorial are also random? For 5 gold that makes Anvilite a steal so go for it. I believe all the common neutrals should be priced at 5 gold as I was able to get Ghost Swords for that exact number.

What you mention is true lamoracke. Because all those cards are beyond lvl 10 for me, so I'm unable to purchase anymore. Which is a good thing since I also think it's a waste of our coins unless you really want that silver version.

I think its nice to have the silver version. One, if you have the silver version of a card and then you get the card again in a booster pack, you get a coin bonus. Two, the silver or gold cards are animated when you view them.

Well, hope nothing is too good tomorrow, spent my wad on Food Fight. Only have 1 of his 5 cards so he is pretty useless but was hard to say no to a skylander.

If you already own Grape Shot, Food Fight is definitely competitive enough!

I'm currently racking my brain as to whether or not Tree Party is worth the purchase as I already own Tree Rex + 3 of his spells. That would leave only his epic spell to collect once I press the button. Decisions, Decisions....

If it helps any, Tree Party has adorable card art. The lore talks a lot about how Tree Rex loses his mind over people attacking forests but not much about what he does when he can chill in them :U

If I owned Tree Rex (but I do not own any ultimate skylanders sadly), I would probably be buying that card. I got that one in a booster pack though so no decision for me today at least.

Word from sancho the rotation will have ultimates, just very rare from what I can gather.

@bitfrost Seems like authors enjoy giving sentient tree characters a forlorn story. Reminds me a bit of Maokai from League of Legends.

Maokai and Tree Rex are pretty similar, yeah, just replace undead forces with magic waste - though Hugo only implies in a lore book most other trees in that forest died of magic poisoning. Tree Rex also has the weight of being the Giant representative so most of his character ends up being about remembering the audicence his group's gimmick.

Thanks for the info JJAtelier about the ultimates. Given the rares are 200 for non-skylander and then 750 for epic, I can only deduce that an ultimate is likely at least 1000. For a skylander, its probably 1000 as well, but time will tell.

Still iffed at the game ignoring Dark and Light's existence and two of those cards show it perfectly. Maybe they're hoping for an expansion but considerkng Acti has been abandoning mobile game after mobile game not too sure. Either way, associating darkness with Undead is so 2013 - and in fact, Undead was associated with grayscale and grayish purple since the second game, what's with using literally Dark's symbol color for the Shield sphere?

I think if the app and cards do well and they want to release a 2nd set to expand the game more....light and dark will be a natural addition to that and by then, like it or not, the 6th game will be out by then. I would love light and dark as well but I think the battlecast group is pretty darn good. Has a mix of Superchargers, Giants, Swap Force, Trap Team and regular Skylanders. Could have used one actual swapper is a small gripe.

Always worried to do a new IoS upgrade on my game. Keeping my fingers crossed.......and worked with 9.3

New cards today. Strangely I needed shield of elements so that 5 coin buy was easy (now only missing one non-elemental card). I do need Hurling Boulder but will save my money for the moment.

Wash Buckler is Swap Foce, but yeah, just him. The thing is, 3 on each of the new elements, it's a perfect number for a lineup already. And, if they included the Superchargers cast, they knew well they had enough of then avaliable.

But dunno, Touch of Darkness and Lights Out on Undead feels like it wasn't known by part of the dev team. Hoping that this isn't an excuse to keep an expansion out, both are hardly going to be so essential to Undead characters you couldn't possibly put them in Dark and replace with similar cards here.

Oh you are right, forgot about Wash Buckler for the moment. Would not have if I had him, heh.

Dragon's Circlet is one reason I wish I had Flashwing but saving my coins in the meantime.

All I know on Dragon's Circlet is that Flashwing is colored wrong :I her scales are all white except on the wings, the only blue in the body is from the plates.

Just to update, I'm gonna be more preoccupied on Thursday with work so the Featured Cards update will be delayed. Don't feel you need to wait for me! Once the rotation shifts continue away.

This new 3 card pack daily thing, so far, have had just commons so far. Not complaining, just wanting to know if others are getting any cards above a common.

Today (3/24) new featured cards: goodie bag, mind reader (bought it for 25) and the rare one today is fortune telling (200 coins, rare).

Goodie Bag is really strange since it looks like it's Undead, since it's a trick-or-treat bag. Then again, balancing might've been needed, since the majority of card summoning spells are on Magics or Northen Lights which is hardly cheap for a chance at a weak spell.

Regarding the daily 3 card pack. All of them have been common so far (both Android and iOS) and I think that's peferctly okay. Just opened a Mood Ring for Hothead so it's very possible to collect all the common rarity cards via this method.

Looks like today's featured rotation is all about card draw mechanics. Decided to pick up mind reader and leave fortune telling for another time.

I got Cursed Choker (rare) in the daily 3 pack today.

Well that's new. Guess any card rarity above rare must be hard to come by. Imagine opening an Ultimate Skylander!?!

Krankcase's Cage yesterday which was an epic for 750 coins. Have still never seen that card played to get a picture on it so felt a little different yesterday being asked if I could buy it.

I would love to demonstrate it to you as I already own it on my iOS but I don't have Jawbreaker sadly. Wish there was a way to trade cards as there's some cards that are just dead in our collection due to being tied to a specific Skylander.

Oh, I am not saying it does not exist, all the cards do, just saying I have yet to see it played so its just rare to see is all. Obviously if one has Jawbreaker they would see it anyway due to Northern Lights. Its just more tempting in a way when its a card I have been trying to find a picture on. Once I saw Graveyard Grudge Match (have only gotten it when I do Essence Ignition on an opponent that has an undead enemy on their team), I figured all 300 cards exist.

On iOS yes, buzzer break is gone but still smacking me. For Android, he's clear as a crystal.

Break looks kinda obnoxious, I gotta say. If you roll it at the start, you'll be able to use it straight away, so in PVP you have to be constantly worried the opponent will ruin your setup. And I don't recall any spells that summon from the discard pile, so you only have one chance to begin with.

Well, break is not as important if you have some of the cards in the tech element and are using them. In the PvP arena, very few cards have troubled me to remove gear wise, double-izer or soul scorch come to mind, but not many.

So it's been a while since I last updated but I've noticed the shop has been looping through past rotations of cards we've seen before. The one with Amutlet/Fireball/Ten Gallon Hat was certainly a repeat. A little disappointed this is happening unless the next set of cards have yet to be planned.

Might be set for a certain week, which is why it glitched a while ago, possibly? Dunno how that works, I though RNG was involved but doesn't seem like it.

Yeah, 4/6/2016 was the glitch day so was the same as 4/5. Are the cards today the same as 3/15? That was the one day I forgot to write them down but I believe I missed writing down a Crusher day so its possible

Crusher is definitely one the game wants you to have, I wish I could get some of his other spells though. One thing about this game, the more of their 5 special cards you have, the better.

Apparently featured card rotation was not good enough earlier today as its now changed when the daily quests got added. Never had two sets the same day.

The rota times are confusing me all over the place. Is there basically two rotations per day now? Every 12 hours or so?

Now for me, it may be confusing for me as I have the NZ version, but at the beginning of the day, my featured cards rotation changes as well as my spin and 3 card pack. At 5 PM PST (my time zone), then my quests come. Is that the same for everyone else?

There was a brief period of skylanders maintenance right before 5 pm this time so perhaps that is why the featured cards changed, I think it was an anomaly, not the norm.
