So I received these pictures a while ago, when I was given the ok to post them I posted them on Instagram. I didn't post them here yet as I was waiting for a release date, unfortunately it is unknown yet (possibly sometime in April). So I thought I'd post it yet and just update it when the release date is known, but until then enjoy the pictures. The Folder is made out of Leather type material so expect it be around the Trap Box price range (You know Acitivsion and their prices, LMAO)

Skylanders BattleCast release in Australia tomorrow (14/4 AKA 4th April). This should mean we should see the folder and card case soon too!

Where did the book come from, which you have yet to mention?

Trap Box was only designed to hold in the amount of Traps needed to capture all the villains.

I thought so too. Definitely getting 2, one for my cards that came with the characters and one for Battlecast Cards.

Nintendo could learn a thing or two from this. The amiibo folders are faecal matter.

Really pretty cover, though I'd slap a rune border to keep it in the game's style. Too bad I'd never have money to make use of this entirely, collecting figures is expensive enough - maybe I'll store the old cards as well if I ever get it.

Beautifully designed, looks of fantastic quality. Ooga Likey. Just need to wait and see if and when it gets released in the UK. Anyone know of pricing for this or the card packs?
Fun Fact: I actually stored the collectible cards that came with the figures in a binder and another binder is where I store all the stickers for the characters and vehicles by element. I might just buy a few of these for the future, as they seem to be more durable and i'm almost out of space in the current ones.

Now if only one could find the cards that were slated for release... 17 days ago.

I'd literally only buy this so I can put my other Skylanders cards in it. From Spyro's Adventure all the way to Trap Team. Though 270 is not enough. I'd need a few more pages and it doesn't look like you can add to it.

It's on some italian online store, same place it came out recently. Just glanced over the links though, but a quick last week search on Google should show it.

They're working on it, there's updates and bug fixes and all, question is if Acti really really wants to wait until the final areas are done despite the game having enough content for weeks already.

Big assumption to say it isn't correct though, it's a store that's having preorders on the card packs. They kinda should know about that even if the date gets delayed again, don't you think?

It would be a shame if they decided to create more cards than the ones they planned since it doesn't look like you can add more pages.

Sorry if it's a dumb question but I still didn't understand how they will handle these cards: will there be a card for each unique character and then 3 spells for each Skylander card or what?

3 Skylanders per element, 5 spells per character,then tons of element and non-element spellcards. Dark52 put up a list on the Battlecast area in Other Games and lamoracke has a list for them by character/type and most of the villain cards which don't seem to be playable(yet).

There are already around 300 player cards, not counting villains, which is kinda weird since those 30 new ones showed up out of the blue in a recent update. You'd think it was planned but either there was some urgent need for a round number or something we don't know.

Whole thing is just looking odd. The game is great and playable in 3 countries,but Acti acts like it doesn't exist; Orville isn't helping with bugs,the Senior Producer is, and he also only posted last week and then nothing.

I have to disagree. Retailers make up placeholder release dates ALL THE TIME.

Amazon.com lists Zelda for Wii U for December 30th, 2016.

Pretty much the largest online retailer and they have a date completely pulled out of their backside for a game that doesn't even have a real name yet. (Love Walmart's "Zelda 2" title... like #2 to what?). Hell, for a game that many are speculating won't even be released at all.

This is why you don't go off of random vendor websites for release dates. At least, you don't treat them like gospel when you see them.

Wait,they have it for games without even final titles? December 30 is very obviously placeholder though, but next saturday seems less random in comparison.

Yeah, I don't know how it works in Brazil, but here in the states, as soon as a game has an announcement (and sometimes, before official announcements), the game is usually listed on major retailers websites for preorder, and if a release date isn't provided by the publisher at reveal, the retailer will often use a placeholder date based off of whatever information the publisher has provided. Pre-orders are big business for retailers - they get to hold your money for free (free interest!), virtually lock you into buying the game (even if early reviews are bad, if someone has pre-ordered the game, they're more likely to pick it up because they feel 'invested' in it.) and virtually lock you into buying it from them, even if other retailers have better deals going on (when the Twilight Princess sound track was announced as a GameStop exclusive, there were a lot of folks complaining because they had already pre-ordered the game elsewhere - even though virtually every major retailer that does preorders will let you switch or cancel with no penalty).

Basically, retailers will do whatever it takes to be first to get the preorder listing up, so they can be first to get your preorder.

We don't really have much of a preorder culture here. It's avaliable for some eletronics and games,but there's never any incentive - premium editions cost your eternal soul(because heavier package means it's more expensive than importing), it's going to arrive a day before release if you're lucky because the mail likes to hold onto things until the last possible second, and the book stores(remember, game stores are hardly an option here) do an absolutely horrible job at stocking things they don't actually have and warning you a whole month later(tried getting a book from what's the biggest book store chain in Brazil a month early for christmas- they took until january to tell me they never had it and had to scramble for both that and a birthday gift since they're close by).

So what I know is what I see on forums and the news about the preorders abroad, since I also never have enough money to preorder myself from eStarland or something :U But thanks for the explanation, though I think we've gone offtopic for too long.

I have a few questions:

1. When does this game and cards release, if not released yet?
2. Is it compatible with iPhone 5S? Because that's what I have.
3. Is this going to act as a collectible TCG to a T with randomized booster packs, instead of the many hassles of figure availability?

For the love of Eon we have a forum specifically for this. Every time someone brings up Battlecast outside of Battlecast board people act like it's the only one that exists.

The only indication it was coming sooner was a placeholder date in a retailer inventory system. Then people made assumptions...

These folders look so cool. The sheets do not seem very good compared to 9 card binders you buy for baseball card stores but still, would be cool. Hope they are big enough to fit all 300 cards with some room to spare.

It's kind of disappointing that everyone is posting these but crediting everyone but me. I know I said I'd appreciate credit but that doesn't mean everyone can go post it without giving me credit and then they get credit because someone else found it from them. People like Original sources.

I think it might just hold enough for the characters and their assigned spell card. The card case will probably hold all the other cards. I will let you guys know if I find any more info
