Have you ever made a mistake that seemed unforgiveable? Like crashed a friends car, or betrayed someone's trust completely. The mistakes when you feel awful and stupid for actually doing it.
I made a mistake and it seems unforgiveable but, to not go though details, I betrayed a friends trust because I had tried to help out when it was never needed, but instead of helping, I insulted my friend. Now, even though I said sorry, pointed out the mistakes I made, and my friend forgave me, we are not talking to each other when we used t say 'Hi', each lunch at the same bench when we used to, and we never keeping eye contact for more then a second.
I'm just wondering if anyone else has made a mistake that to them, seems unforgiveable. What happened? How was it resolved? What are your thoughts on it now? I just want to know that I'm not the only one.

Well, I can't think of any mistakes I've made that other people think are unforgivable - even if I find it hard to forgive myself for lots of things - but I've been finding it pretty hard to forgive one of my friends for something that might seem stupid to other people. Not sure if it counts as a mistake on her part, but I almost got into a car crash a few months ago while driving to school and I was pretty upset about it. When I told her I was almost in a car crash, she just said, "Oh, yeah?" and grinned and chuckled like it was amusing to her. I said something else (forgot what I said) and she just waited for a moment after I was done talking to say, "I'm so worried about my mom's surprise birthday party." Didn't say anything else about the crash I was almost in, didn't ask if I needed to talk about it, didn't ask if I was okay as I was obviously upset; just started talking about herself. It really, really pissed me off and I couldn't help but think "wow, I'm so sorry to bother you with my troubles; obviously, your mom's surprise birthday party is SO much more important than my almost getting into a car crash."
I've been finding it very difficult to talk to her lately; I've unconsciously taken a distant tone with her, I've noticed... I need to talk to her about it since I don't want to be that person who stops talking to someone because they're pissed about something and won't tell the person what it is, but I'm waiting for an opportunity to bring it up. Sorry if it seems like a stupid ass thing to be mad about, but it just really pissed me off; it made me think that she doesn't care about anyone but herself and isn't concerned with anyone else's troubles besides her own (and her finding it amusing doesn't help either... at all). She did the same thing to my other friend when she was extremely upset because her chicken died... She didn't try to comfort her or anything, she just complained to her that some asshole called her short... Sorry to rant, lol... But you're definitely not alone, Camo22.

That would piss me off too, I would either sit her down and have a talk or just not bother with her anymore |
