Well i agree with Chicken I think he is i new guardian who has to help Spyro save the world (again) but he does look like a guardian of Darkness and he looks like he or she is around the same pool that sparx asked about in a new beginning

He probably is a guardian, though I don't think that he'd be a guardian of darkness, that being, I don't know, evil. That said, in Jak and Daxter, Gol Acheron was a Sage of Dark Eco, but that did warp his body and mind.

That Would be sooooo cool. I wonder if he'll have special abilities, enemy or not?

Actually... considering the screenshot's quality and the graphics used for Spyro and Sparx, this is actually a screenshot from Spyro 6 (A New Beginning), the mobile phone version.

Two main theories thus...

1-They ran out of color palettes for the Guardians which means that it's actually an existing guardian... minus the colors. Hey, it's a mobile phone game. You truly expect Xbox 360-quality graphics?

2-This is not a dragon at all but a boss enemy exclusive to the mobile phone version, which is also very probable. That or it's a boss from the other versions in an extra weird position.

Well, that was my opinion on it.

Of course, if someone actually played Spyro on the mobile phone, it might be appreciated if said person gave clarifications on what the "grey dragon" truly is.

Possibly not. It'll be a little less surprising if it was. My assumption is that it's either a FORM of the Dark Master, another corrupted henchman of said entity, or some kind of anti-hero (by that I mean a character that gets in the hero's way in terms of malice but still wants to fight against their adversary for their own reasons, kind of like Ashelin in Jak II).

I wouldn't worry about how big they are; if you want big, look at Street Fighter
I think this works well to add in a good set of detail, thus my feelings on that this game looks a lot more artistically detailed than the GBA version of A New Beginning.

The grey dragon could be an Ashlin style character in here but it looks pretty evil.

Hmm, the eyes of this grey dragon are dark and mysterous... and seeing how the dragon appears to be seen as part of a vision, it could very well be the Dark Master.

He looks more like an old wizard or something to me. It looks like he has a bag of maps or scrolls on his belt.

I thought that was a beard or something. o.O

Yah, hes definitely got a beard on his face... look under his wing in the distance, sorta by his rear section... there is like a saddle or something with maps or magic scrolls in them.

I dont know why but: There's just somthing about this dragon I'm not comfortable with. I might Be wrong but: It's kinda wierd.

Well it does look a little odd, but I thought that actually formed a part of his tail. I could be wrong though; what kind of gray dragon would carry maps for anyway?

Yeah, it's probably his tail [otherwise the scrolls are floating in the air for some odd reason.] Anyway I agree with Michael it probably is the dark master exept in this guy's body [kinda like Calypso & Tia Dalma-if you've seen At World's End, or like professor what's-his-name and Voldemort in the first Harry Potter movie] Gaul is probably going to the temple of souls to release him from the body he is trapped in.

That look is still pretty unfamiliar to me. So no, not a past character unless it was an incarnation of any past character, like a form of the Sorcerer or something (which I am still doubting).

Hmmmmm..... I wonder if he is a gardeian of darkness or some thing like that and was corupt by the Dark Master. Like Cynder in the first game.

It looks like an apparition. Maybe he's a weird vision or something, cause it looks to me like his image is just floating in midair to me. Or maybe the wall in front of Spyro got cut out or something? In either case, it still looks like its just a vision cause it has weird hazy stuff around it.

Oh yeah, it does look like he's carrying maps or something. It actually looks like a log or something, some kind of wood. But in the first pic, I only took a glance at it. It didn't look that evil, but when I looked closer, and at the pic Dark52 posted, It did look like he was evil. Now, I only played the PS2 version of ANB, but it doesn't really look like a vision. It looks like maybe he's a boss or something or maybe some form of the Dark Master, like you said, and maybe he's in another room standing on something waiting for Spyro, and then Spyro comes to the end of the wall, and then goes into the other room and fights him..... I'm just taking a wild guess here, so I don't know..... He is kind of big for a guardian, don't you think? like twice the size of Ignitus..... (lol)

he looks like a dark master, or maybe one of the bosses near the end that stall spyro from getting to the dark master or ape king or woteva the PROPER boss is!
