MY NEW BETTA!!!!!!!!!! HER NAME IS SHIRLEY

i've been dreaming of this day for SO LONG. she's so gorgeous and i love her so much. i got her a few hours ago and i'm really hoping the ride didn't stress her out too bad and i hope she'll be ok in the morning. she's having a good time exploring her big 20g tank and SHE'S SO SMALL IM GONNA DIE

tomorrow i'm gonna post more pics, i can't get quality pics because i can't have the aquarium light on tonight or it'll stress her out. but omg she's gonna be my ****in MODEL over the next few days.

i actually only kept her in for like 35 minutes and after 15 minutes i slowly mixed in some of the tank water
it'd probably be better to leave them in longer but i was kinda impatient and i figured it'd be ok

after 15 minutes is when the container/bag gets to the same temperature as its surroundings but doing that alone isn't enough cus you have to get other parameters to match (pH, gh/kh) by mixing in some of the tank water very gradually

she didn't seem shocked or anything so i suppose i did it right

that's good, don't rush that too much because one of my bettas died from shock relating to water temperature

she seems to have made it through the night pretty well and i'm so relieved because i kept checking up on her 100 times last night lmao

my camera absolutely hates her and she never stops moving haha i don't want to stick the phone in her face too much because i can tell she doesn't like it so you guys have to deal

i'm also really happy because she's eating!! i was planning on alternating the pellets between two brands (omega one and new life spectrum) but she's so small i think she'll have trouble eating NLS omg

she's such a little dummy head. she goes after and tries to attack drops of water on the glass and she even tried attacking some of the plants. this is her turf and she's not gonna let anyone else in it haha
