I'm sad now. :'(

If you don't know David Bowie for his music, you may know him for his acting in the movie "Labyrinth."

I only knew him from that really bad Atlantis Spongebob episode. He voiced one of the characters.

Yeah, bite me. He's not my taste in music, but.. Still very sad.

R.I.P. Ziggy Stardust.

The world has lost another great artist.

Though many younglings such as myself knew him best in Labyrinth, his songs Let's Dance and The Man Who The Sold The World are brilliant.

I'm going to watch that tonight.

They couldn't have chosen a better Jareth, he was made for the part.

I only knew him as Jareth the Goblin King, but he had a great impact on my childhood even with just that. R.I.P.

RIP </3

I like Space Oddity, but I think either The Man Who Sold the World or Ziggy Stardust is my favorite song of his. But yeah, music is my heart and soul, it's my life, and David Bowie was a huge part of my childhood. Never saw Labyrinth, and I didn't even know he was in that Spongebob episode, but his music <3

Also

Oh my God...

BTW, apparently he knew he was dying and Blackstar (his newest album) was a farewell gift to his fans. The last video he uploaded, two days before he died was "Lazarus", and was basically him telling his fans not to worry about him because he's better off, and his music and spirit will live on.

Apparently he was to have a collab with the Gorillaz on their new album (that was the rumor anyway)...if there was any truth to it, it's sad it won't happen now (unless he's already recorded). James Gunn, the writer/director of Guardians of the Galaxy 2 said he was seeking a cameo by Bowie in Volume 2...

So many incredible artists have passed recently, Lemmy Kilmister, David Bowie, Daniel Kyre...
They're in a better place than this world's state, at least.

I just recalled from my histopathology studies that a radial lesion that commonly forms in breast cancer can be described as having a "black star" or "dark star" appearance.

I'm guessing that was intentional.

The only reason I knew about him was because of Labyrinth, which, when I was 2, I called Gogelums take the baby. In other news Alan Rickman (Professor Serverus Snape from Harry Potter) died. They both died at age 69, from cancer, within a week of each other.

I probably won't be back for like a year.
