You know, there's the type of 'Public Reply System' as I call it.

If gamer2008 emailed someone like Eternal Dragon, where would the sent email be? In his email Outbox. And if she replied? Where would it be? In gamer2008's Inbox.

It's virtually the same thing for guestbooks, only it's public.

No. Everyone knows the double-post rule applies to the forums. On guestbooks, one posts a question to (insert username here) to (insert username here)'s guestbook! So basiclly, it's responding guestbook style!

I would say that the way people post in Guestbooks it seems to me that it would be more appropriate for them to use Private Messages but no, I don't enforce the double post rule on Guestbooks. Nor do I enforce it on fan-fiction type topics so long as the double posts are story posts and not just regular spam.

14 times or 14000 times in a row matters not if the content isn't aimed at spamming away the guestbook. Nor do you really need to speak out for someone else if he/she isn't having a problem with it.

People should talk through PM. Think. If Person A sends Person B a PM, and B replies in A's guestbook without using quoting, than A may not understand the message. However, if B replied by PM, than A would understand and may reply. Think about it.

As Night Owl implied, there's no indication that anyone was confused by the conversation going on between comments in both guestbooks. If you were only concerned about communication problems, then you've ought to make your concern a suggestion in this forum rather than a complaint in a situation you're not even involved in.
