back in high school i knew this guy who got a tattoo. we were chatting it up and i expressed my interests in getting a tattoo of the mark of the exalt. he asked what it was and i explained it's from a video game, yadda yadda, to which he replied "that's from a video game? that's from media. you can't get a tattoo if it isn't meaningful and media isn't meaningful."

1. that's bull**** bc people get tattoos of stupid **** (i.e. memes) all the time
2. that's bull**** because fire emblem awakening helped me out of a really hard time in my life so its meaningful to me

so after being insulted for a few seconds i asked what he got and he pulled up his shirt and on his back was his tattoo

it was v for vendetta

it took up his entire back

so i asked why he got it and why it was meaningful or whatever because he was just totally contradicting himself bc v for vendetta is a ****ing comic book AND a movie and thus the dreaded """media"""

he said "it's not media if it fights the system"

to this day im still baffled by that comment, thus why im posting this at almost 2 am

Media can do whatever it wants. V for Vendetta is still media whether he likes it or not. And geez, that's a huge tattoo. Hope he ends up regretting that choice when he's older and it's sagging all over the place.
