what do you guys think about capitalism? do you think that it is the only system that works? do you think or have any info that cites whether government intervention within a market system is a good or bad thing?

I think it's good for most industries (especially technology related industries) but some industries are better off socialized, like education and healthcare. Also we could probably eliminate a lot of our financial problems if we socialized the sports, art, and entertainment industries. Instead of millions going to athletes, musicians, and actors who do nothing "useful" from a utilitarian standpoint, there would be millions going to social programs that could improve quality of life for everyone. People in those industries are supposed to be doing what they do because they love it, anyway, not because of a big paycheck. The ones doing it for a paycheck are usually soulless corporate creations.

Socialism only benefits from Capitalism, without it socialism cannot work. It would however be ideal if the whole world benefited from it, if it had its own income. But so far the only system that will help your own country is capitalism, socialism as we see now is reason why in scandinavia its moving away from it. Sweden has taken in dozens of immigrants and they are almost bankrupt.

The world would be better off without it.

Capitalism is just a means of feeding social parasites we like to call "Companies". The only reason it's tolerated is because we can't imagine a life without our big TVs and big houses.

All a living creature (Spoiler Alert: You're a living creature) needs is shelter, sustenance, security and distractions. Capitalism works by giving excessive amounts of those needs to some by denying them from others (i.e. the rich get richer and the poor get poorer).

If people only rely on socialism the whole country will end up in poverty, it just never benefits having that kind of system. Although democratic socialism can somewhat go, if given too much control it can drive its country infrastructure down, i of course mean socialistic political parties. Like illegal immigration + welfare system = Political and economic problems. Just to mention some example of why the model is problematic in the world we currently live in. If it wasnt for that then it might work in terms of co-existence, but people always creates problem in one way or another

I prefer to say "Free-market," as capitalism was a derogatory term invented by Karl Marx.

Capitalism is great; we have seen what happens when the government gets too much power. *cough
communism cough*. Capitalism allows for hard work. Socialism gives too much government power and taxes. Prices skyrocket, and America would be drastically changed. Also, no one would work getting cash "equally". Go Capitalism!

There's no such thing as a Communist Country. A system in which the rulers get everything and the people get nothing is not communism, and is basically the opposite of what Karl Marx wanted. The problem with Communism is that the countries that claim to be Communist are really just Despots that claim to be "For the People!"

This is why in my stories, Equestria is Communist. Because fiction is the only place it works.
