You forgot the pre-launch period where everyone is regretting their hype and trying to convince people not to buy it or causing drama.

you forgot the 'defenders' that try to convince everyone that is not happy with the game, that its the best ever skylanders game to date.

Not far off. We've been here for a few cycles so it's old hat now.

OMG! If that's how I wanted to live in this lifetime with Skylanders, then I've got to get a grip on reality and myself. I just wish this franchise would end soon. IDK how much longer I can maintain my status as Portal Master.

I just realized that Skylanders is winding up like the Star Wars trilogies.

First Trilogy: Starting off with good first impressions.
Spyro's Adventure, Giants, and Swap Force

Second Trilogy: Okay at best (Though thank god there aren't any poop jokes or Jar Jar Binks)
Trap Team, Superchargers, whatever Skylanders 6 turns out to be

Third Trilogy: Blowing everyone's socks off.
Whatever they decide to do here.

TT and SC has a certain style/charm to them, but I'm playing LESS with each of them, not more. I agree with Zap...6 better be 7 (as in TFA #7) or we'll be deep sixed. I can actually see a less than < 1 million starter sale on next game if they pull a rinse/repeat job. Going retro on prices, and innovating gameplay and making the gimmick SKYLANDER based (and something more than a big figure that opens up something unique like Trap Masters---need something like Swap force) are they keys to success....and an adventure beyond story....otherwise...I don't think portal masters are going to care. It's not shameful to give fan service either.

If you want the franchise to still tell you how to life your life by wanting it to end,you were never free to begin with. Leave by your own accord, not in the conditions of the games' cycle.
Also have some self control, that applies to more things than plastic figures.
