Skylanders: Elements is the sixth game in the Skylanders franchise, following the release of Skylanders: Superchargers in 2015. The game will be developed by a new company- PortalMaster365 Gaming & Co. Although not much is known about the game, the release date is in "Fall 2016" as seen in the trailer.

More info- Skylanders Elements introduces a new type of skylander- the Elemental Warriors! These Skylanders have the power to harness magic from their initial elements (Shrink, Sound, Electricity, Freeze, Slow-Mo, Fast Forward, Light, and Invisible)

Backstory- The Mount Cloudbreak eruption caused a chain reaction, making the ground open up and causing powers from elements that existed long ago to rise up. Villains from long ago that had been trapped down in the caverns for ages also escaped. A new elite team of Skylanders tried hard to keep the villains from coming to the overworld. After a long battle, they finally were able to shut the cracks, but a chain reaction occurred, causing Mount Cloudbreak to erupt again, this time, sending the Skylanders to earth! Since they came into contact with the elemental powers they became one with them, turning them into... The Elemental Warriors! But a terrible evil known as Kaos also discovered these elemental powers and is able to harness them in such a way that he can reek havoc on Skylands! Now you have found the Elemental Warriors and its up to you portal masters to destroy Kaos before it is too late!

1st Update-
•Removed Light/Dark Elements as it was confirmed the game takes place where Swap Force leaves off. Since those elements appeared because of the events of trap team, technically they haven't happened yet.
•Backstory Revealed

2nd Update-
•Three new characters revealed!
- Stealth Elf in White Robe, In Meditating Stance
- Ignitor holding both sword and shield, swinging sword in Right hand
• S2 Countdown's name revealed!

3rd Update-
* New trailer tells us that there will be over 75 Skylanders to collect! This is the largest number of Skylanders yet. This makes sense because there is no toy for the gimmick.
* Trailer also shows us new Portal of Power (Picture coming soon) {Has symbols that could possibly be for the new elements with LED lights}
* On the POP there were 3 new Skylanders
- Thunder
- Rune Stone
- S2 Torch

4th Update-
• Pre- Orders for Starter Packs were found on multiple websites (Not Tablet or 3DS)
• The starter kit will come with:
- The game
- New POP
- Character Poster (No image seen)
- 1 Elemental Warrior (Thunder)
- 1 Core Skylander (Rune Stone)
- 1 LightCore (Torch)
• Confirmation that LightCores will be returning
