Why anyone would be proud about something as trivial as their gender identity and biological sex is beyond me.

I could perhaps understand if you were proud to come from a certain country, or maybe even having a certain type of family growing up.

However, trivial things that you can't really change such as race, sex, gender identity, and sexual orientation aren't really anything special nor something to be proud about.

Everyone grows up thinking that they're 'special little snowflakes', and while that is somewhat true to the slightest degree, in the end it's not because we're all the same thing; people.

Being a person is all that matters, none of that trivial and mundane nonsense.

For example; I'm white, biologically male, gender fluid, and bisexual. Am I proud of being these things, though? No, because in the end they don't really mean anything.

If someone would rather be male than female, or female than male, and did become who they wanted, I would think they would be proud of themselves. Of course, it's not much of an accomplishment, but unless you take to the point of belittling others because of who they are, or constantly proclaiming it, I see no problem.
What decides if gender means anything? What do you mean, how it affects your life? How it affects other people? The way you act? It does affect all those. How can a gender not mean something? Of course, things are certainly more important than it, but just a friendly question.

I was mostly talking about how some people use their race, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, etc., to belittle others, not really the joke itself.

What I mean by the gender thing is that you shouldn't be judged or belittled because of it, basically.
