Hi there. You don't know me, I don't know you. Let's continue.

Years ago, I used to frequent this place quite a bit as a dumb little kid (check my profile for all the horrible spelling you could ever want) and for some reason or another, I left. Perhaps I just grew out of the franchise or I forgot about it, who knows? Apparently I should be an Emerald Sparx by now. Boo hoo.

I only just remembered this place existed and after wrangling with my password and username, was promptly hit with a wall of nostalgia. I'm shocked the site is still going strong after all these years, especially since Spyro isn't exactly a heavyweight series anymore. (I still feel iffy on Skylanders but don't be offended, just take it as old-man ramblings from a veteran fan).

So, out of curiosity:

1.Is the site as popular as it used to be? I came in around five years ago and remember it being relatively full of people.

2. Did anyone actually get turned into a Hunter? (Moderator?) I always wanted to be one when I first joined but Dark52 wasn't hiring at the time. In fact, there weren't any at all.

3. Speaking of which, is Dark52 still around? If so, good on you for sticking with this site for so long. Commendable effort.

4. Does the fandom in general still speak of the older games? I understand that Skylanders would be prominent here, and that topics on the classics (and TLOS) would be bone-dry by now.

5. Would I be completely lost if I were to rejoin? I probably won't be too active, but I might stick around just for a laugh and to see all the changes.

Thanks for reading this.

First, welcome back. I don't know you (I'm a little new here), but a new someone is always nice.

1) I don't really know. The Off-Topic sections are very active, so...

2) Many people are Hunters now.

3) Yes. He's actually the "lord" around here.

4) Almost not. There are plenty of Spyro fans here, but there's nothing more to talk about Spyro himself. You know, nothing announced and all...

5) Maybe. You will find many of the old ones here. Just know that the Skylanders sections have plenty of kids, so calm down the language. But be free in other sections.

Yeah, S&N accepts anyone while the main thing with the old spyro sections is that there'e nothing to speak unless people get interviewed or whatever, and Dark was pretty on point on letting Skylanders be a part otherwise the site would be dead after 2011. Skylanders sections are heavy on kids and their parents so it's best to tone down language as much as possible there - and, while this probably doesn't apply to you, no fandom bashing from either side.
