I think I may have just accidentally loaded up a prototype vehicle. o_o Mind you, this is on the PS3, which still doesn't have the latest patch. I've tried to find this other ways, and the only way I've found it so far is by using Series 2 Hex in the Instant Hot Streak, and racing online against someone using a Dark Hot Streak.

Once the race started, my vehicle was definitely not my vehicle. It looked similar to Gold Hot Streak, as most was gold, but even some of the shape was different, and the parts on it were not anything I've seen as upgrade mods for Hot Streak. I think I may have loaded up a prototype for Hot Streak...
Not sure if it works only on PS3 or not, but if you have Instant Hot Streak, S2 Hex, and a friend with Dark Hot Streak, try it out.

Instant Hot Streak :U As someone who ONLY has that vehicle,I know it's easy to mix it up with Gold.

I've seen it glitch with some players,and it'll lock itself as the chosen car if your vehicle doesn't register,you can see a frame of it if you quickly switch vehicles on the portal.

^Definitely was not the model for Instant Hot Streak, as I've played online with that one a good 25+ times now, and you can absolutely see the different. Instant has a lot of white on it, especially with my chosen mods, which most mods I have on aren't white or gold. This was all gold with a few touches of black, and the back upgrade mod resembled sheep or goat horns, reminding me of Splatter Splasher. You have Instant, so iunno, maybe it was a one time glitch, or maybe I'm right about what's needed to get it to pop up. Try it.

My Instant Hot Streak is cheese-orange with the Volcanic Vents, so dunno,but it becomes dark gold and changes in patterns when I'm messing with Decos(it doesn't stay, but as long as it's on the menu it's that). It might be a visual glitch from someone that was doing that as well that carried over,maybe?

Okay... So why would mine change though? My Hot Streak is has different parts I chose, and looks nothing like that. So even if what I got is normal Instant... why is it resetting back to the default parts (I think?) only with Hex S2 against Dark?
Even if what I saw was the default instant, it's still a glitch.

It's most likely just a glitch, maybe the game didn't load your mods for 1 second or something, but it probably wasn't a prototype or placeholder vehicle
