I don't generally go out of my way to collect simple packaging variants, but I know some folks do - and I noticed a bit of a change that might be worth looking out for.

Some time ago, I had expressed disappointment in a thread here (that I can't seem to find now) over the fact that, on the backs of the figures/vehicle's packages, Activision had made the choice to use Hot Streak and Spitfire on every package to show off the "SuperCharged" combo feature.

After comparing my recalled Night Fall to my Nightfall from GS yesterday, I noticed the back of the new package actually shows Nightfall + Sea Shadow instead of the previous artwork. Then, I realized all of Wave 3 did this.

I'm curious if Waves 1 & 2 (aside from Nightfall, of course), will be shipped with newer backers at some point. Kinda curious. about Burn Cycle, since it was in pre and post-wave 3 shipments.

Anywhoo - it's a minor thing, not something I'll be chasing after - but I thought it was neat that I caught a running change that aligned with feedback I gave. ;)

Does it mean the back is different on the recalled Nightfall and the new ones? I noticed that on the front of recalled Nightfall, her name is written with a space "Night Fall" while it is written in one word "Nightfall" on the new ones.

Yup. Recalled "Night Fall" has Spitfire + Hot Streak on the back, while regular Nightfall has Nightfall + Sea Shadow.

Yea both my nightfall have different backs.

OOH package variant hype. Watch eBay sizzle with overpriced error copies.

I'm guessing re-issued W1 and W2 characters "MAY" have the change, but I'm guessing it was yet another mistake not found until launch, so they were able to fix W3 and beyond. I honestly don't think it was due to "listening" but rather someone woke up from not doing their job.
