What would your strategy be?

Mine would be the following


Training
carb load (so I can go a lot longer without starving)
Train up on using knives as my choice of weapon (since of what we have seen there is at least 3 different types used in the games including throwing knives. Plus they are dual purpose as a weapon and a survival tool. Not to mention a dead body may just have one I can use on them)
Learn what berries are edible so I don't accidentally eat poisonous ones.


First ten minutes (aka one of the most important moments in the games)
GET OUT OF THERE, If I try to get stuff at the very beginning I run the risk of being killed by the careers and literally EVERY other person. Survival > items I could possibly get off dead bodies. LET them kill each other! Just less people I have to kill
So basically I am going to run and then once it comes down to me vs whoever I go for one of two options
1. Let the arena kill them
2. Or go quick and fast melee on them (if it's a career I may want to grab a throwing knife)

Hide as best as I can until everyone dies.

But realistically I'd probably have a panic attack early in and then get killed in the process.

Do my best to wait it out as best as possible and pray the arena doesn't kill me. I know very well I lack any physical prowess. I'd do what I could to keep tabs on where people are without getting their attention to stay away from them. Then in the finale event, try to trick the other one into dying by arena.

I'd lose my **** as soon as I enter and probably be overcome by insatiable bloodlust. Probably getting me and some others killed in the process.

I would let them kill one another. At the end I would get out of my hiding place and enjoy the rest of my like being rich...ya know: parties, jacuzzi,mansions, playing games in my 4k tv, never wake up early again, get amber heard as my gf, get drunk at my private jet, spend summer traveling in my yacht, great meals, private fitness teacher, lie around in infinite pool and other things which I can't confess.

Well, I don't know a lot about the Hunger Games actually. What I do know is that it's some sort of a survival situation where multiple people are "pitted" against one another in a large arena (This was not a question by the way. I'm not going to read walls of text about a series that I'm not interested in.)

What I do know is that "fighting" and "combat" are nowhere near the same. Survival in combat has very little to do with how well you can swing a knife or use a weapon. Fighting skills don't hurt, but the point is to be smart about what you do.
It would be best to never attack anyone when you're not in an advantage. Whenever someone attacks you, escape. Only engage others on your own terms, don't get into duels, and don't take chances. Kill people when they're weak/unable to fight back, and always try to move around hidden.

It would help, of course, but not as much as you might think. While a knife is a very effective weapon when it comes to murdering someone, it is a very bad "fighting" weapon. You never see people dueling with knives because it puts them both at great risk, no matter how experienced you are. If someone nicks you badly just once then you are already at a significant disadvantage, and wild, defensive slashing is just as effective when it comes to hurting your opponent as controlled stabs and slashes are. In a situation like that I'd take a simple club over a knife every day.

There is one use for a knife though, making a spear. Now there's a weapon for someone who wants to engage in close combat and walk out alive.

No, besides clothes you can't bring ANYTHING into the arena. And pretty sure sniper rifles never been one of the weapons provided (which you shouldn't go for anyways as going for a weapon in the first 10 minutes is AWFUL STRATEGY)
