Does the Superchargers portal work with trap team? I thought it would but when I put in trap team, it tells me I have an incompatible portal.

Nope, and that's the only case of a new portal being incompatible. Some cutscenes depend on the speaker but it's not on the SC portal.

It seems the ideal portal for Skylanders games is the Trap Team portal. I've heard some issues on some platforms with the Superchargers portal and I'm not fond of having to swap out portals when I want to go back to older games since I have the cord run through the back of the entertainment center. Besides, the voice from the portal are one of the best features of Trap Team, they are hilarious - notably Broccoli Guy.
