Why is it that you can get a loose Dark Spitfire for 10 to 15 dollars but a regular loose Spitfire is anywhere from 25 to 30 dollars?

Because Dark Spitfire was in six starters, where as normal Spitfire is only in four starters.

Individuals who wanted all of the starter characters got Dark Spitfire in: 1) Dark WiiU (to get Dark DK/Blaster) (2) Dark Wii (to get Dark Bowser/Cruiser) (3) Dark Other Console (to get Dark Sea Shadow/KAOS trophy) But on the other hand, you only got regular Spitfire once with a regular console starter. He didn't come with the regular Wii or WiiU starter, therefore Dark Spitfire is way more common.

Pretty much what the above all said. Some ppl bought multiple starters and dark spit was in more of them so the demand is low for him, as the price.

Wow, never thought about that. Also explains why I can't find a reasonable regular Hot Streak. I found a Golden Hot Streak starter so I was just going to get the regular one loose. Guess I may be waiting till next year when some folks start trading in for the next game.
