It's an acquired taste. Usually young people like sweeter stuff, and as you grow older you start to like a wider range of tastes.

Didn't like beer when I was under 18, don't like it now years later either. Even tried one without alcohol, feels like soda mixed with cereal, urgh. Though I definately understand why someone would like regular beer.

My grandma drinks beer and i thought it was juice so i drank it.This was when i was little....Yuck.Root Beer is better

I don't like the taste either. Though, when you drink it a couple times it tastes better. I don't plan on drinking a lot though.

Yeah, and as unfortunate as it is,some parents try to push their kids to drink beer like that'll make them feel like adults. I just felt like scrubbing my tongue with anything nearby and refused it ever since.

Mine never did this thankfully, but I actually remember doing on literature class several essays about articles where parents would tell kids to drink when they're like 10 or 13 and don't even lift a finger when they expectedly start making it a habit, and then an addiction. Not sure if nowadays it's so common since drunk driving became a big deal in Brazil(finally), but there's always someone at a big barbecue or new years party trying to get a kid to drink because "they need to grow up" or something, I'm afraid.

Depends on what you drink. If you don't like the taste, I recommend mixing it with juices. Tastes much better that way.

It's not so much about diluting the taste as it is about enhancing it. Nobody likes the taste of alcohol, and the more alcohol something has, the crappier it inevitably tastes. That's why people invented cocktails.

There are many liquors that I really enjoy drinking, but if my goal was to get intoxicated I'd be drinking something else. A shot of vodka can serve as a good pick-me-up when you're out with friends, but a liter of vodka is more like a put-me-down.

I've never liked beer. Give me soda or chocolate milk any day of the week.


Granted, it can be nice sometimes to have a dab of flavored rum or vodka in the soda or irish creme liqueur in the chocolate milk....

Mountain Dew is good but it's one of the worst sodas you can drink. I believe aran once said that its pH is close to that of acid from a car battery.
