i MIGHT be in major trouble [CLOSED]

things are going AWFUL at school.i just got my math test, and my grade was 13 out of 100.
mum is not allowing me on darkspyro anymore.
BUT
i am gonna struck a deal with her.
it all depends on me english test tomorrow
if i get 97+, i wont go on darkspyro for 2 months, and then come back.
if i get 95-97, i never get on darkspyro, and no other penalties.
but...
if i get any lower than 95,
i may never come back to skylanders.
never
all skylanders get sold,
ps3 will be replaced due to superchargers being installed on
and never getting another skylander again
never.
BUT
if i get a round 100, no penalties charged

remember. english is not our main language here.
these may be my last hours on darkspyro.

Yes. And? Being on the dS more often instead focusing on your studying will only worsen your chances in getting a better grade. Whatever your parents choose to do in order to help you study more, you may have to go along with regardless.

I do agree with all that is said above me, but in popfizzmagic's defense ... this could be his "goodbye unless this happens" topic ... a difference from L/R since the goodbye is not determined.

I never had to worry about the diversions of computers and being on-line back in my day...TV was my enemy. I guess Atari 2600 games would top the list.

Bottom line: Get into a habit and stick to it. Refuse for "fun time" until you know it, prove you know it (there are zillions of math sites that you can use to quiz yourself, a tool I never had).

Make sure to show your work--most teachers give partial credit if you can show your thought process.

^ Not really. A 13 is pretty bad. That's beyond not knowing the information as well as you should. That's neglect. The bar is raised because he lowered it.

Take 15-20 minute breaks in between, as it'll help you refresh your mind if you're stuck, but be sure to REALLY stick to a schedule. Word of advice, study hard for that test.

That 13% on your Math test was extremely low, too low.

Everyday make a time (at least two hours) where you study and do your homework. Don't log on here or any where else you go to, no music or T.V., just do your homework and study for tests that you know you're going to have. This will work for you if you really want to achieve good grades in school, however you have to do this everyday.

97% sounds really high. Why do you have to get an A+? All my parents told me was that I just needed to pass. Although I only needed an overall score of 70% to get into the course that I wanted.

Also, like all the other users said, why are you on here then? You should be studying instead of wasting time making this topic.

I know this probably doesn't make sense at your age, but good grades are their own reward. Don't work on your grades because your parents make you, work on them for your own good.

That's for a different subject though; he got the 13 in Math, not English. Plus, as Sky Airglow said, going from 13 to 97 is a pretty big jump.

If I was him, I would hide my skylanders in a case then bury them, then if I get 95 or lower you wait a year or so after they've forgotten and dig them back up.

Work at it. I got 9 out of 60 (U GRADE!!! U for ungraded, so bad don't get a grade) for my mock maths paper for non calculator. The real exam was in 3-4 weeks time.
I worked hard and got my dad to really help and try teach me. I had been let down by the school as my maths teacher was **** and disappeared for months so we just had ****ty subs.
In the real exam I just managed to get a C.
A U to a C is a big improvement in a short space of time. Work hard and you can do the same.

Maybe you should stop neglecting school and realize there are more important things than coming onto a forum for a whole day? You really need to focus on the important things so you can be ready when the work gets even more difficult. I understand math isn't everyone's best subject and to be fair, it isn't mine either, but find ways to study such as flash cards or going in for tutoring. Flash cards help if you're the person who learns by interacting.
