What happened?

Okay, so today I was playing online co-op and I had to put a vehicle on my portal, so I put my sea shadow on it. I don't have nightfall and neither did he but it showed up with all the supercharged mods. Not that I'm complaining smilie I'm going to buy Nightfall anyway, but how did this happen?
