Now that you mentioned it, I remember hitting the button with the supercharger on the portal and it wouldn't come up...is the idea only the one who pairs with the vehicle can only do it?

All 5 of my vehicles can be customized by any of my 8 superchargers. So it must be a glitch.

Only the vehicle's signature pilot can equip the SuperCharged mods.

The mods stay equipped if you switch driver, but if you use any SuperCharger to change mods, you need the signature driver in order to re-equip the SuperCharged mods.

Phoenix Crystal is the best unreleased Crystal.
Skylanders Academy Season 2 was an improvement.
I don't know what to think of Skylanders' future.
