Buy a loose Spitfire+Hot Streak? Before I only got the figures of Snap Shot, Food Fight, and the traps because they were an extra bonus that came along with a new portal. But now that I do not need one, I'm thinking of just using the instant versions of the duo. What do you guys think?

I'd say get'em, the instant version of them strongly likely won't be playable in Sky 6.
